4 Ways Small Businesses Can Remain Positive During Uncertain Times
It’s been a long two weeks, to say the least… How are you doing? Like, actually how are you doing? Not just in business, but physically, mentally, spiritually? It all matters. I know right now many small businesses are facing adversity and uncertainty. It’s overwhelming and stressful. We get it and we’re here to support you in any way we can.
Before you read any further, do me a favor though, pause for a moment and take a deep breath. Think of something positive, a silver lining if you will, to everything you are currently going through.
If there is one thing I want you to take away from this blog post- it’s knowing you are supported and that we are here to provide encouragement. No matter the obstacles that come our way, we believe it’s so important to remember that each day is an opportunity to do something AMAZING. Even in times of darkness and uncertainty.
COMMUNITY and supporting each other is how we will conquer every obstacle in our way. Keep a positive mentality and keep taking baby steps each day to do something positive for someone else, your business, and your personal self.
Looking for some ways that you can do something positive for those around you, yourself, and your business today? Here are some ideas.
Encourage a Friend and Support Their Business
Help each other out! One thing we love to see is the ladies in our community banding together right now, to lean on each other and offer support in any way they can. This doesn’t have to be purchasing a product, or monetarily supporting, but it can be as simple as commenting on their Instagram posts to help them extend their reach, or leaving a Yelp review to help them attract new customers, or giving each other’s businesses a shout out on their Instagram story. It all helps right now, trust me.
Re-Think and Evolve Your Business Plan
Can your business be taken virtually? Take time to educate yourself on ways to make this possible. Just because brick and mortar retailers and events are currently shut down, does not mean there isn’t an opportunity for your business online. Ecommerce shopping and social media usage are at all time highs! Why? Well, because everyone is in their home doing everything virtually. Use this time to level up your digital presence and figure out a way to scale your business in a virtual format.
Build Stronger Relationships with Your Clients and Your Community
Use this time to work on strengthening the community around your brand. Have a business that maybe can’t be taken virtually? Maybe you are a spa, or massage therapist that can’t operate without physical interaction? That’s okay, there still is a positive! Use this extra time to build stronger relationships with your clients and those in your community. Learn how you can better serve them when you open-up shop again.
Build Relationships with Other Small Business Owners
We need each other right now, more than ever. Do you have a support group for your business? A group of ladies that are dealing with your same fears and uncertainties, that you can lean on so don’t you don’t feel alone in all this? Our community is here for you! Click here to follow us on Instagram. Interested in diving deeper than that? Join us virtually, April 7th at 10:00 AM PST for our Business Babes Collective Think Tank. All of our chapter leaders will be present for two-hours of jammed packed, hands on coaching and support for the small businesses in our community. Tickets are still available. Click here to grab yours!
You’re not alone and you are supported. We will get through this together and will come out stronger on the other side. Stay positive, keep innovating, and support those around you. The world needs it!
Sincerely
