Okay, let's talk about it… Artificial Intelligence. AI has been a buzzword in the online business space for quite some time now, but it seems like in the last several months, EVERYONE is talking about it!
With the launch of ChatGPT and new AI features being added to many different platforms and tools like Canva and other big companies, AI has been a HOT TOPIC of conversation lately, if you haven’t noticed. This is something that Danielle has been talking bout ALOT with her clients, Mastermind members, especially people within our new breakthrough growth program that we just finished because she truly believes that there is SO much potential when it comes to using AI for our businesses.
But many of the questions she’s been getting asked from our community have been how do we implement AI? In what ways can it help support our business, and help us be more productive, but also in a way that ultimately aligns with our values? These are all questions Danielle has been asking as well and she has been doing a deep dive and researching this topic over the last several months testing out different websites, apps and resources to learn more so that she can not only understand how we can implement AI in a helpful and ethical way in our own business but also support this community and help YOU do the same!
We’ve been learning A LOT, which is why we want today’s episode to really showcase how it can be applied to business to help us save time and be more efficient, but also its current limitations and some things to keep in mind as you are implementing it into your own business.

Benefits
Productivity and Efficiency
AI can automate routine tasks that can free up us as business owners, but also our contractors, employees or anyone we have on our team to be able to to focus on higher-value tasks.
Content CreatioN
AI Can help us to cut down on the time we spend on content creation, so apps like ChatGPT and others that Danielle will actually talk about in a future episode can help us to create really amazing marketing materials very quickly and easily! (ie, Captions for social media, or graphics or other things!)
Brainstorming and Decision Making
One of the most helpful things about AI is using it to overcome writer's block. It can help crafting emails, blog posts, outlines for podcast episodes and so much more!
Supporting Clients
Danielle utilizes AI for coaching, like brainstorming some ideas and more! It saves so much time so Danielle can make the most of her coaching sessions!
Limitations
Lack of Personalization
While AI can absolutely automate tasks, it ultimately is a robot so that doesn’t have a personality, so it can’t quite provide the same level of personalized service as a human. In this world of so much technology, clients and customers really appreciate the personalized touch to things and can often tell it hasn’t been automated. For example - there are AI technologies that can copy your voice, but at this moment, it’s not to the point where the voice has a personality or specific inflections as it’s very robotic, monotone etc.
Overwhelming - Where to Even Start?
There are so many AI Tools out there that it can be overwhelming even knowing where to start.
You can create a spreadsheet of all the tools available to you curate ones that are specifically geared for small businesses. Danielle has already done that and decided to make it available as a FREE resource on our website, if you want to download it, The list is now at about 50+ AI tools specifically for businesses - go to businessbabescollective.com/aitools to get access- the cool thing is that this is a working document that Danielle is continuing to research and add websites/apps that she thinks are helpful and also adding information and my personal thoughts about each app that she tests out!
False Information and Ethical Concerns
There are ethical concerns around the use of AI, particularly around issues of privacy, and transparency and also false information, so Definitely use with caution. There is so much power in using AI but also recognize that it’s not perfect and should be used responsibly.
There are SO MANY courses and AI tools out there available to you! Danielle’s advice is to make sure you are finding the right tools or courses that are aligned with your business.

[00:00:00] Danielle: When we can actually focus on some of those higher value tasks in our business and we can automate, we can use AI to actually support us in some of the things that are more mundane, that is going to allow us to build a more thriving business. And save us a lot of time.
[00:00:19] Welcome to the Business Babes Collective Podcast. I'm your host, Danielle Wiebe. in this podcast, you'll learn tangible business tips and strategies on how to grow successfully and sustainably. We'll also interview seasoned entrepreneurs. So you can listen in on their stories and see behind the scenes of what it took to grow and scale their businesses. Let's dive in as we discuss the wild, exciting, crazy challenging, rollercoaster ride of entrepreneurship.
[00:00:49] Hello everyone. Oh my goodness. I am so excited about this episode. I cannot wait to share with you a lot of the things that I [00:01:00] have learned about this topic over the past several months, because let me tell you, I have a deep dive as far as research and testing out different tools, different websites, all of it, and I wanted to make sure that,
[00:01:19] I've been thinking about doing a podcast episode about this topic, but I didn't want to just dive in just because it was a hot topic. And you know something that definitely is a topic that a lot of people are talking about, and I know you know, something that people are interested in learning more about, but I wanted to make sure that I did enough research about it and tested out enough websites and tools before I gave my thoughts and opinions and suggestions for this community because I care so much about all of you, and I don't just want to hop on the next hot trend [00:02:00] just because it is a viral topic, so to speak. Okay, let's talk about it. Artificial intelligence, ai. AI has been a buzzword in the online business space for quite some time.
[00:02:15] But it seems like over the past several months, everyone is talking about it with the launch of chat G P T, as well as new AI features being added to so many different platforms and tools like Canva and other big companies ai. It has been such a topic of conversation lately. If you haven't noticed, and this is something that I have also been talking a lot about with my clients, with our mastermind members, and especially also people within our new program, which we just finished, and I truly believe that there is potential when it comes to AI and what it can do for our businesses. So I'm actually [00:03:00] really excited to talk about this, but many people have questions and a lot of the questions that I've been getting asked from our community have been questions like, how do we implement ai? What are ways that it can help support our businesses?
[00:03:15] How can it help us be more productive? But then also, what are the complications with ai? What are the limitations? How can I use it in a way that aligns with my own values? And I'm gonna be honest with you, when I first learned about chat G p t and just all of the AI advancements that were coming down the the line, my first reaction was actually pretty terrified.
[00:03:43] When I started using, specifically started using chat g p t, it was pretty scary, like how incredible it was. And I say that in a way of, it just is really shocking, if you haven't used chat G P T [00:04:00] yet, or any of these other AI tools, it can be really mind blowing and shocking and scary how effective it is.
[00:04:08] And, If you are feeling that way, by the way, you're not alone, because I definitely have felt that way. Still sometimes feel that way. And so I know many of you can relate to this, but these are all questions that I've been getting asked from our community and so I've been really trying to do a deep dive and trying to figure out, Where do I land as far as using AI for our business in a way that feels really good, and then also understanding its limitations and understanding how to not use it, if that makes sense.
[00:04:40] So how to use it productively and, but what to look out for and what to make sure we are implementing in our businesses so that it doesn't just become this thing that, we're using AI technology for everything and then our business feels disconnected from our community, which is [00:05:00] all of you guys.
[00:05:00] And that is truly, if you've listened to this podcast for a long time now, you'll know that community and connection and relationships is really the highest priority. And what I believe is the fuel of our businesses is the connection, the relationships, the community that we have, and I believe that is actually what creates a thriving business.
[00:05:24] I don't think that it's just all about automation. Of course, there's so much opportunity in this and we will get into that. So I'm not anti artificial intelligence. I'm actually pro artificial intelligence, but I think we just really need to be mindful of how we are using it as business owners.
[00:05:44] And so that's why I wanted to really just open up this discussion and talk about it on the podcast. And I wanted the first episode to be basically just a conversation, my thoughts and some of the things that I'm excited about, [00:06:00] but then also some of the limitations that I am aware of and also want you all to be aware of.
[00:06:06] So let's start with the benefits of using AI in your business. So I think one of the biggest benefits and the reason, reasons why we are starting to implement AI into our business is the fact of productivity and efficiency. So AI can automate so many routine tasks so that we can be freed up as business owners.
[00:06:31] And also our contractors, or our employees, or anyone that works with us on our team, can be freed up to do higher value tasks. So I talk a lot on the podcast about your profitable tasks that you need to do in your business in order to build a profitable, thriving business. And a lot of times those profitable tasks are things like pitching perspective, clients, building relationships, doing [00:07:00] collaborations, hosting virtual in-person events, building your email list, all of those things.
[00:07:04] And so when we can actually focus on some of those higher value tasks in our business and we can automate, we can use AI to actually support us in some of the things that are more mundane, that is going to allow us to build a more thriving business and save us a lot of time. So that is, My favorite things about AI is the fact that it helps us be more productive and efficient in our days.
[00:07:31] Okay, number two is content creation. So AI can help us cut down so much on the time that we spend in content creation. So at. Apps like Chat. G p t Descript is one that we use for the podcast.
[00:07:45] I'm actually gonna talk about a lot in a future episode about the tools that we're currently using in our business to streamline our processes and just ones that I think are absolutely incredible and that we've started to implement within our business. [00:08:00] But there are so many tools now that actually help you create a amazing marketing materials very quickly and easily.
[00:08:08] So things like captions for social media or cutting down videos into short form content for things like reels or YouTube shorts, things like that. Also the abil the ability to create graphics and other things that you can use in your business. So content creation is, Really big one. And to be honest, it's like one that I feel like I've just scratched the surface on when it comes to all of the things that I know that AI can do, and I feel like we are just scratching the surface on what we can use it for.
[00:08:43] Okay. Number three is brainstorming and decision making. So one of the big things that I think AI is really amazing at is helping you brainstorm ideas. So for me, I find that I [00:09:00] often. Get writer's block when it comes to coming up with specific ideas, whether it be for podcast episode titles, or maybe it's topics that I wanna talk about in future emails or even just titles of events that we're gonna host. And so what I find super helpful is to have tools like Chat, G P T, and other tools to be able to help you brainstorm whether that be for crafting emails, blog posts, outlines, subject lines, podcast episodes and just so much more.
[00:09:37] Another thing, number four, the fourth benefit that I wanna share with you is supporting clients. So this is something if you are a service-based entrepreneur specifically, I wanted to mention this because I think it's really cool how we can actually use ai within our services and within to support us in supporting our clients. So the other [00:10:00] day, I was on a coaching call with one of my clients and we were brainstorming some ideas for her upcoming event and program.
[00:10:07] And so we went to chat G p T and we asked it to come up with some titles and taglines for her specific event, and then we used that to craft up what she ended up going with. So I think we asked it to come up with 10 different titles. And then basically what we did is we like smushed, like two different ones that they came up with together and then continued to brainstorm that until we came up with one that she really loved.
[00:10:35] And so that was just a really cool way that we used ai on a coaching call and really like dove into it. And it was really cool because it might have taken us our full-time on the call to brainstorm something like that. Because it was a short call. It was a 30 minute call. But instead, we actually got that done in a very short amount of time it was about five minutes, and so we actually were able to [00:11:00] move on to other things to strategize for on her business. So we were able to have a very productive coaching call because of the fact that we could use AI to support that conversation and to support that brainstorming. So I thought that was really cool.
[00:11:18] So now I wanna talk a little bit about the limitations of artificial intelligence because I think it's important to recognize its benefits, but I don't hear a lot of people talking about its limitations, and so I really wanted to share this because I think it's really important that we understand it so that we don't just blindly go into this world of, again, using AI for everything and not being responsible with it.
[00:11:48] So number one is that AI has a lack of personalization. So while it can help us automate our tasks and, [00:12:00] help us be more productive, all of those things, ultimately it is still a robot, right? So it doesn't have a personality of its own. So it can't provide the same level of personalization when it comes to a service or writing all of that as much as a human can.
[00:12:20] In this world of so much technology, A lot of times our customers and our clients really appreciate personalized touch a personalized touch to things. So again, that's where we mix the AI with the personalized touch to really customize the content that we're putting out there and the experience that we create for our customers and clients.
[00:12:45] And I think that is really important. So for example, this podcast there are actually apps where it can recognize your voice and it will actually, if you type [00:13:00] out a script. So for example, if I typed out a script to this podcast, I could actually not even record it with my real voice. I could, if it had learned my voice there are automation tools out there that can learn your voice when you upload your voice to the platform and it will actually copy your voice and read out a script in your voice.
[00:13:25] It's really creepy, to be honest with you, like that is still one that I'm like, ugh. I don't know. I don't know about that. But the thing is that at this moment, and again, it might get better as time goes on, but in this very moment, The voice does not have a personality, right?
[00:13:42] It doesn't have specific inflections in different places. It's very robotic. It's very monotone. You can tell it's it, you can tell it's a robot. And I think one of the things that it is important to recognize as business owners is that [00:14:00] we still bring our unique touch, our unique personality, our unique flair to what we do.
[00:14:07] And of course, like I said, AI can support us in delivering content and delivering experiences, let's say, for customers and clients. But it's not at the point right now where it's completely replacing our personal touch to things. So that's one thing that I wanna share.
[00:14:27] Number two is that, This is big AI can be very overwhelming. There are so many AI tools out there and it can be really overwhelming to know even where to start. So I am someone who absolutely loves research, and when I say I love research, like I go down deep rabbit holes when I learn something or when I find a topic [00:15:00] that I'm really interested in. I can spend hours and hours just deep diving into research and learning more about a new topic that I'm interested in.
[00:15:11] And so this is. Something that has really supported me in my business because when I'm interested in something, I really take the time to research it. I really take the time to learn more about it so that I can have the knowledge to implement it. That is the good part of it. However, it can also cause a lot of overwhelm.
[00:15:35] Often after those hours and hours of research, My brain feels like it could explode. So if anyone is similar to me, by the way, I would love to hear from you. Come DM me on Instagram and be like, Danielle, I'm totally a researcher too, and this totally happens to me so that I don't feel so alone.
[00:15:54] Anyways, I knew that if I was experiencing this, cuz this is what happened to me when I first learned about ai, it [00:16:00] was like, okay, let me learn more about this. I wanna know the ins and the outs. I wanna know the, the good and the bad, all of the above. And so I have gone down many rabbit holes whether it be blog posts, YouTube videos, Honestly, researching different platforms and websites and different AI tools when it comes to specifically to do with how it can support us in our business.
[00:16:24] And This has all been really eye-opening in a lot of different ways, but it also has been really overwhelming for me too, because I've thought to myself, okay, which ones specifically should I be implementing in my business? Because there are hundreds and thousands and probably even millions at this point, tools that we can implement, but which ones do we actually use?
[00:16:50] And so what I ended up doing is I ended up creating a spreadsheet. And so I started to just put all the tools, I love spreadsheets, [00:17:00] by the way, if you don't know me, I am like a spreadsheet maniac. I have spreadsheets for everything. So I put together a spreadsheet and I started to add all the tools that I was learning about, and I started actually curating a list of tools and websites specifically for small business owners because I decided, you know what? I want to learn about these tools. I wanna know the ins and the outs of all these different websites, the benefits, the drawbacks, all of that. The cost, if they had free versions, if they had paid versions, and so I decided to create this resource not only for myself, but also for our community and our clients.
[00:17:38] And so what I've actually done is I've decided to make it a free resource on our website. So right now I put it up on the website. So if you are interested and you wanna go download it and get access to it right now, the list, cuz I've gone through, at this point, hundreds and hundreds of[00:18:00] websites and tools.
[00:18:01] And so I've curated a list. I think it's over 50 now. It's about 60, potentially 60 to 70 AI tools specifically for business owners. And so if you want access to that, you can go to businessbabescollective.com/aitools to get access. The cool thing about this is that it's a working document, so I'm going to be continually updating it as I start to learn more about these AI tools, which ones we're using.
[00:18:31] Right now, I have the ones that we are using at the top, and I have them bolded. And then I have the rest of them below. And so I'm slowly starting to work through that list myself, seeing which ones are worth my time, which ones are not and which ones I can also recommend to clients and members of our community.
[00:18:52] So like you said, big limitation or maybe drawback to AI is that it can be really [00:19:00] overwhelming. So what I honestly recommend is, for example, if you download our free resource where it has 50 plus recommendations for different tools that I've found, what I would recommend doing is going to that and then searching within that spreadsheet.
[00:19:19] So you can easily do that using Command F, and then you can search in there and you can find whatever tools you specifically need for your business. So say for example, you are a podcaster like me, right? Then you do command F and you look for all of the tools that are specifically for podcasting. If you're someone who needs tools to streamline your social media or your video content, or you want something that can support you with seo, do the same thing and start with one tool at a time.
[00:19:53] I think that's my biggest recommendation. It's my biggest recomme recommendation when it comes to anything like when you are [00:20:00] implementing new systems, when you're implementing new strategies, implement those things one thing at a time. Don't overwhelm yourself by feeling like you have to have, you have to implement 50 tools into your business.
[00:20:14] That's not, that's just not realistic at all. And so implement one at a time. Use our resource that we've curated for you, and then go to that resource and just say, okay, command F I'm gonna search for all the ones for podcasting. And then from those ones that pop up specifically on podcasting, look at all those different websites.
[00:20:37] Figure out, okay, which one do I feel like I wanna test? And go ahead and test that one and see if it helps you see if it saves you, see if it saves you money. See if it's able to streamline your process. And if it is, then great. Then implement that into your business. So that's what I highly recommend for [00:21:00] you.
[00:21:00] If you're feeling overwhelmed with How do I get started with ai? What do I even do? Start with that. And then you can start to stack those tools as you start to implement new things in your business. So hopefully that's. Okay.
[00:21:18] The third limitation is that AI can also give you false information, and there's also some ethical concerns. So let's talk about this a little bit. So I think the biggest thing with the ethical concerns that people are having around the uses of ai, Specifically around privacy transparency, giving false information, all of that. So definitely I would say use AI with caution, right? Like with any tool you wanna make sure that you're using it, but you're using it in a way that is in line [00:22:00] really your values.
[00:22:01] And so I think there's so much power in using ai, but also recognizing that it's not perfect. And so you don't want to say, for example, go into chat G P T and just ask it to pop out a resource for you, for example, and then basically just copy and paste that resource. Like that is not going to be an effective use of that.
[00:22:25] And I know a lot of people are talking about, like for example, there's these like very clickbait videos right now that are like, make your whole course in 10 minutes and sell it online. Or create a digital product and sell it within 10 minutes and make $10,000 within an hour. It's just very it, first of all, it's not realistic one and two, it's not really ethical because if you think about it, like you're just basically using content from AI and then you're not actually putting any of your [00:23:00] flare on it at all.
[00:23:01] You're just basically repackaging, repackaging it and then selling it to people at a profit. I dunno, to me it feels very icky. And so when it comes to using ai I don't think there's anything wrong with using it for developing your course content or supporting your content creation, all of those things.
[00:23:21] I don't think there's anything wrong with that. However, I do believe that there needs to be a portion of your personality and your flare that needs to be put on it. I recommend the way that you use it, is that you use it for your business, but you put your own personality, you put your own spin on it.
[00:23:40] It's not just like copy paste and then post or copy paste and then repackage and sell. I just don't think that's the right way to go about it. So those are just my personal opinions again. People might disagree with me on this, but honestly I would love to hear from you. Like I would love to hear your [00:24:00] thoughts on ai.
[00:24:01] I would love to hear your opinions. I would love to hear if you have started to use AI in your business. If you feel intimidated by it, like I wanna know all the things, so please come find me on Instagram @danilivinglife. Tell me what you have been using, what you have been loving. If there's any tools that you have really enjoyed, I would love to hear about them because like I said, I am going on this deep dive, I'm researching all of the different tools and websites that I think are really supportive and helpful. And so if you do want to download that resource that I have, again, it's a working document, so make sure you get access to it, but don't make a copy of it because then you won't get any of the updates.
[00:24:48] Just have it there so that you can see all the updates. As we continue to evolve that resource, so you can go to businessbabescollective.com/aitools [00:25:00] to download those 50 plus tools. And yeah, like I said, I would love to hear from you. I really hope you enjoyed this episode and I can't wait to see you in our next episode.
[00:25:12] In the meantime though, if you found this episode, helpful or valuable in any way, it would mean the absolute world to me if you left us a five star review on the podcast on iTunes. It takes about 30 seconds to a minute. Just to, and honestly, it's just a way to say thank you if these episodes have been helping you, and if you find value in the content that I'm sharing, it honestly just means the world to me.
[00:25:43] So thank you so much in advance, and if you think of someone, if you think of a friend or a family member or someone that you know that would enjoy this podcast as well, I would, I would be so grateful if you shared it with them. And so thanks so much in advance for doing [00:26:00] that as well. So I hope you have an incredible rest of your day and we'll see you in the next episode.
