[00:00:00] Danielle: Welcome back to the podcast, friend. I am so excited that you're here and I have so much to tell you, so much to update you on, so many exciting things happening, um, just in the business, but also just Just our lives in general and I can't wait to share with you some updates of what's going on. Um, but I am going to actually leave that for a future episode because there's some things that are kind of still in the works that I can't fully share about yet.

[00:00:32] Danielle: So stay tuned, make sure you're subscribed to the podcast because I'm really excited to share some, just updates with you and um, so get excited. But in the meantime, I wanted to bring you a really great episode, one that's reflective and one that is going to help you get clarity on your purpose as an entrepreneur.

[00:00:56] Danielle: So we actually did this during our [00:01:00] VIP morning session at our Power of Purpose conference last Friday. So we had our Power of Purpose conference last Friday. It was Absolutely incredible. If you want to see a behind the scenes reel, just kind of a little recap of the day, you can go to my Instagram at dannylivinglife and you can check out just a few little short snippets of what the day was all about.

[00:01:22] Danielle: But we had. It was such an amazing day. Honestly, I, I don't even really have words to describe what that day was like, but it was incredible. There was such an amazing warm energy in the room. Um, everyone was so excited to connect with one another and there so many connections that were made. There were so many ideas that were born.

[00:01:48] Danielle: There was so much goodness that happened during that day. And we'll probably do a recap of the event. I want to bring the team back on the podcast just to talk about, you [00:02:00] know, what that event was like. But I wanted to give you or bring you a short snippet of what we did there, um, onto the podcast if you were not able to join us.

[00:02:11] Danielle: So I find that as business owners, we're often So incredibly focused on the what, the how, right? So we're focused on what is the next strategy that's going to get me to where I want to go. Now, this is extremely important. I mean, we talk about strategy a lot on this podcast. It's a lot of what I coach my clients on and our mastermind members and students of our programs.

[00:02:34] Danielle: It's a lot about the how to. But there is something so, so important about actually understanding what the clear vision is of what you want to create with your business. Because if you don't have that clear vision first and you don't know what your purpose is for creating what you're creating, then you are not going to be able to actually do the steps.

[00:02:57] Danielle: First of all, you're not going to be motivated enough to do [00:03:00] the action steps that you need to do to grow your business. But Also, if you're too caught up in the weeds and you don't actually understand what the larger picture is, then you might actually be going in the wrong direction. So today I am going to be asking some reflective questions that I want you to answer, and this will give you much more clarity on what the driving force is.

[00:03:21] Danielle: behind your business. My hope is that this episode inspires you to get clear on your purpose and your goals as we head into this next fall season. So this is literally me going through exact, the exact strategy of how we have generated.

[00:04:10] Danielle: thousands of leads that we, how we have generated consistent cashflow in our business that's growing over time and how we've been able to build a really thriving community around our brand and our business. [00:06:06] Danielle: All right. Let's go ahead and dive into the episode today. Welcome to the Business Vaves Collective podcast. I'm your host Danielle Wiebe. In this podcast, you'll learn tangible business tips and strategies on how to grow successfully and sustainably. We'll also interview seasoned entrepreneurs.

[00:06:24] Danielle: Entrepreneurs so you can listen in on their stories and see behind the scenes of what it took to grow and scale their businesses. Let's dive in as we discuss the wild, exciting, crazy challenging, rollercoaster ride of entrepreneurship. Okay? I want you to grab a pen and paper, and I know if you're driving or working out or multitasking right now, then listen to this episode and really think about the answers, and if you cannot actually physically write the answers down right now.

[00:06:56] Danielle: Think about the answers to the questions and then come back when you can actually [00:07:00] write them down so that you can fully reflect on them. Okay, so question number one is what sparks joy or curiosity for you? So is there a specific subject that you're genuinely curious about or that genuinely sparks joy when you think about it, or maybe when you are doing it.

[00:07:20] Danielle: So another way to answer this question could be like, what do you love to do or talk about for hours? What do you get lost in? What are some of those subjects? So maybe it is cooking, or maybe it's the outdoors, adventure, it could be Technology, or fashion, or photography, or reading, or maybe it's listening to podcasts, or going for coffee with friends.

[00:07:48] Danielle: It could be anything. But what sparks joy for you, and what sparks curiosity? And how could you implement more of what sparks joy or [00:08:00] curiosity in your life and in your business? Okay, let's talk about unique strengths. What are your personal strengths, skills, and qualities? And how can you leverage those to create a business that aligns with your purpose?

[00:08:16] Danielle: So if you're struggling to come up with your strengths, think about what you get feedback on from others. So what do friends or family or colleagues come to you for advice about? Or, maybe what have they shared with you that you do really well? And how can you lean into your strengths more as an entrepreneur and surround yourself with people who have complementary strengths?

[00:08:45] Danielle: Okay, next is learning from challenges. So think about a difficult experience that you have had to overcome. How has this lesson that you learned from that challenge been able to drive the purpose [00:09:00] of your business? So I'll give you an example. For me, my biggest challenge when starting my business was that I had no idea where to go for support.

[00:09:09] Danielle: I felt like I didn't have a community and I also really struggled in the first few years of business and I thought I was the only one. So. Today, this really drives my purpose because now I get to create a community that is supportive, that is collaborative, that brings entrepreneurs together to grow and learn from each other.

[00:09:30] Danielle: And I also get to teach what I have learned in business so that people can shortcut a lot of the things that I went through, things that took me years and years to figure out, I can teach so that other people can implement that in a very short amount of time. So again, that question is. What difficulties have you experienced that you've had to come, overcome, and how can this drive the purpose of your business?

[00:09:58] Danielle: Another question is, [00:10:00] who inspires you? So, think about an entrepreneur or a business that really inspires you. Or it could be just a person. It could be someone that you know in your personal life. It could be your mom, your sister, your aunt, your cousin, a friend. Uh, or it could be someone who maybe you don't know personally, but you listen to their podcast, or maybe you've read their book, or maybe you follow them on social media.

[00:10:26] Danielle: And what aspects inspire you? of their lives or their businesses or their values resonate with you. The next question is, if money was no object, so you had unlimited resources and you didn't need to worry about money, what kind of business would you start or what would you do with your current business?

[00:10:54] Danielle: What would you invest in and how could you take that first step right [00:11:00] now? Even if it's on a smaller scale, the next question is about impact. So imagine your business business becoming wildly successful. What positive impact would you want it to have on your community or or for the world at large? And in what ways do you want to give back with your business?

[00:11:23] Danielle: For us, for example, we love partnering with local and global charities that are doing amazing things. So we have a charity here in Vancouver that we partner with. It's called Ally Global Foundation. It was actually started by a friend of mine and they help prevent human trafficking. And they help survivors find healing through safe housing and education.

[00:11:45] Danielle: And one of our goals is not only to continue to financially support this organization, and others like it, but be able to volunteer more of our time to causes that we're passionate about. So [00:12:00] as we grow and as our team grows, getting our team involved and doing things together and volunteering, that is definitely part of our vision.

[00:12:08] Danielle: So when it comes to impact, if your business becomes wildly successful, what positive impact do you want it to make on your community and on the world? Okay, let's think about future vision casting. I absolutely love this one. Okay, so envision your life and your business five to 10 years from now. What does your business look like?

[00:12:31] Danielle: What is different in your finances? Where are you living? What type of support do you have? What does your daily life look like? Like, what does an ideal day look like for you? And I want you to describe it in detail. So if you have to pause this episode, if you need a little bit more time, because I know I'm going through these questions rather quickly, so if you need to pause this episode, do that and actually write down, like, what does an [00:13:00] ideal day look like for you?

[00:13:01] Danielle: From the time you wake up to the time you go to bed. What does that look like? Think of your life and your business five to ten years from now. What goals have you accomplished within your business? This could be super tangible goals or financial goals, whatever that looks like, in the next five to ten years.

[00:13:22] Danielle: Okay, now, after you've done all of that visioning, Again, go back, if you just listened to this once, you didn't pause it at all, go back, listen to the questions again, actually take time to pause this episode to write down the answers to those questions. And then once you have those answers to those questions, I want you to close your eyes.

[00:13:47] Danielle: Unless you're driving, or on the treadmill, or doing something where it'd be dangerous to close your eyes, please don't. But, if you are in a spot where you can, close your eyes and visualize yourself [00:14:00] living that perfect day. Visualize yourself with unlimited access to resources and financials. Visualize yourself making an incredible impact.

[00:14:14] Danielle: and giving back. Visualize yourself accomplishing those big goals. Visualize yourself being fully aligned with your purpose and waking up every day feeling purpose, feeling excitement, feeling like you are in your genius zone. How does that feel? Write down all the describing words that you can think of.

[00:14:41] Danielle: How does it feel to fully be living in your purpose? Okay, now I want you to switch to gratitude. What aspects of that ideal future that you wrote down, that you thought about, that you envisioned, what aspects of that is [00:15:00] already true today? So what aspects of that is already true for you right now? And I want you to feel that gratitude.

[00:15:10] Danielle: And if you are a spiritual person or you have faith like I do, I want you to actually take some time to pray. I want you to take some time to thank God for all of your current blessings that you have right now. All of the ways that you're Future goals and your future, um, ideal days and what you've accomplished is already actually true right now.

[00:15:34] Danielle: So be in a place of gratitude. Know that you are already in some ways living your purpose. And now it is continuing to take steps to get closer to your purpose and in greater alignment with what your purpose is. So I encourage you to reflect on these questions often, you know, this is not just an exercise [00:16:00] that you just do once and then you forget about it and you don't ever look at those answers that you put down on paper or that you thought about.

[00:16:07] Danielle: I want you to actually come back to what you shared, what you wrote, reread your notes, put it up on your wall somewhere to remind yourself of what you are working towards. And if that future vision of yourself, of yourself, and what you want for your life changes, that is okay. It's okay to change your mind.

[00:16:27] Danielle: It's okay to change direction. So I encourage you to come back to these questions, you know, every three months, every six months, so that you can get more in line with what you truly are working towards. So instead of just waking up every day and looking at your to do list and just checking off the. to do's, I want you to actually think about like, what are you working towards?

[00:16:51] Danielle: What future version of yourself, what future version of what your business is, are you working towards? So I [00:17:00] hope that this was really helpful. I hope it was inspiring. I hope it was encouraging. This is very different to some of the episodes that we've done so far. So I would love to hear your feedback. I would love to hear.

[00:17:13] Danielle: If you enjoyed this episode, if this is something you want more of, some of these reflective questions, um, something that's a little bit more reflecting on your own business and your own life rather than just sort of workshop style episodes or interview episodes. So if you did enjoy it, come let me know because your feedback is.

[00:17:32] Danielle: So, so important to me because I'm doing this for you. I'm creating these episodes specifically for you and I hope they're valuable for you. I hope you enjoy them. So just want to let you know that I am cheering you on. I am so excited for what you are creating and also I would love to connect with you.

[00:17:52] Danielle: I'd love for it to hear from you. So send me a DM over on Instagram. Um, at Danny living life, Danny with an I [00:18:00] living life, send me a message and let me know what you're currently working on, what some of the answers to these questions are. If you want to share it, you don't have to, if you don't want to, um, also let me know like what have been some of your favorite episodes of the podcast so far?

[00:18:14] Danielle: What do you want to hear more of? Tell me all the things over on Instagram. I cannot wait to hear from you. So thank you so much for listening. Thank you for tuning in. I will chat to you soon. Friend.
