Episode 77 - The Fastest and Easiest Way to Create Content for Your Business
LISTEN TO THE EPISODE HERE:
Danielle used to randomly create content that had no real purpose. It’s easy to get caught up on, “What is trending right now” Or “How can I hop on this trend and quickly create something that might go viral.”
Here’s the truth, though; when you are only focused on growth, “going viral,” pleasing an algorithm, or chasing followers, subscribers, likes, comments etc. - you are not actually focusing on the long-term strategy of actually growing a profitable & sustainable business.
In this episode, Danielle shares our strategy that is not only fast and easy but also supports the long-term sustainability of your business.
TRENDY CONTENT VS. QUALITY CONTENT
Danielle shares how common it is to randomly create content that has no real purpose to it - even she found herself getting burnt out trying to pump content out for the sake of keeping up. Often on social media, we get caught up on, “What is trending right now?” or “How can I hop on this trend and quickly create something that might go viral?”
Here’s the hard truth though - when you are only focused on growth, “going viral” pleasing an algorithm or chasing followers, subscribers, likes, comments etc, you are not actually focusing on the long term strategy of actually growing a profitable, sustainable business.
Before we even get to the content, you need to get extreme clarity on your long-term Mission and Vision for your business.
Ask yourself what is the WHY behind your business? WHY are you doing what you are doing, who are you serving? And what impact are you making to your clients and to the world at large? This will inform your Mission and Vision. Here at Business Babes, our mission is to be the go-to community for female entrepreneurs to learn, connect and collaborate with others and scale profitable businesses without working around the clock. We go in depth into finding your WHY and developing your Mission & Vision inside of Action Takers Program - check it out if you need some help finding your WHY.
Once you have your WHY and your Mission & Vision, you can strategize a content creation plan that SPECIFICALLY addresses the pain points of your ideal clients. If you can solve the problems of your ideal customers and clients, they will keep coming back to you again and again!
CREATING & REPURPOSING LONG-FORM CONTENT
Creating one piece of long-form content and then repurposing to as many platforms as you are able to is the Fastest and Easiest way to create content for your business.

You want to prioritize the platform that is going to make the biggest impact and difference for you! This will vary depending on what your business provides, where your ideal clients are showing up, etc.
Prioritize the platform that is going to make the biggest impact and difference for you!
REPURPOSING CONTENT
Once you have your Blog, Podcast Episode, or Youtube you are going to then repurpose that content to your other platforms.Make a list in order of priority of where you are going to re-purpose that content to. This is Business Babe’s for your example:
Our Own Platforms
Podcast
Repurpose to our Website (Blog)
Repurpose that to our Email List

You have to be on all of these different platforms and you're feeling like your head is about to explode, then today's episode is a hundred percent for you. I'm so excited to bring you this episode because I too have felt so overwhelmed when it comes to creating content for my business.
[00:00:53] And if I'm being completely honest with you guys, I used to hate creating content and, now, I [00:01:00] love it. I absolutely love creating content. And so, in today's episode, I'm gonna share with you the fastest and easiest way to create content for your business. Let's go ahead and jump into today's episode.
[00:01:14] Welcome to the business babes collective podcast. I'm your host, Danielle Wiebe. We'll also interview seasoned entrepreneurs, so you can listen in on their stories and see behind the scenes of what it took to grow and scale their businesses. Let's dive in, as we discuss the wild, exciting, crazy, challenging rollercoaster ride of entrepreneurship.
[00:01:43] Before we jump into creating content and the fastest and easiest way to do that, I wanted to remind you that we have our applications for our mastermind that are open. It's only for a limited time though, so if you have not yet applied [00:02:00] and you've been thinking about it, you've been like, I don't know, I'm interested, but I'm not really sure if it's for me. I don't know if it's the right fit for right now? Go apply. There is absolutely zero risk in you filling out that application. It's gonna take you like two minutes to fill out.
[00:02:14] So go to businessbabes collective.com/mastermind. If you are looking to join a intimate group of other successful entrepreneurs who will be there to support you, to cheer you on, to strategize with you, to brainstorm with you, and to give you honest feedback on your next steps of how you can scale your business to the next level, bring in more profit to your business, potentially add another income stream or a passive income stream to your business.
[00:02:41] So if you've been thinking about joining a mastermind and you're not really sure what's involved and what that looks like, we would love to have you apply. I would love to hop on a quick call with you and help you decide if this is for you or not. The best case scenario is that you actually get invited into our mastermind and you get to [00:03:00] join an incredible group of other inspiring entrepreneurs who are doing big things.
[00:03:05] Plus, I am currently in the process of planning, a really amazing V I P mastermind day. So excited to be doing this. I can't wait to come together in an intimate group for a day to just knot out some of those big dreams and big goals that you have for your business as a group, in person, which is so exciting.
[00:03:25] So not only are you gonna get access to our regular calls and the hot seats and all of the amazing things that are involved with the mastermind, but this time around, a huge bonus is that you will get an invite to our mastermind day. And we have not. Anything like this, especially since COVID get your application in, again, go to businessbabescollective.com/mastermind. Regardless of whether or not you get accepted or whether it is a good fit for you right now, you will leave the conversation feeling so encouraged and inspired to scale your business.
[00:03:56] And I'll also give you the resources and tips on [00:04:00] where to go next in order to get to that next level of your business. So come apply. Pause this episode right now. Go to the application page. It's only gonna take you a couple of minutes and then come back here and let's go ahead and dive into today's topic, which is all about creating content for your business.
[00:04:19] So let's go ahead. As many of you know, and if you've been around this community for a while, you know that this business has evolved so much since its beginning stages of when we started this brand over seven years. So with that also my system and strategy for creating content has changed a lot too.
[00:04:39] With all of these things, it is my goal to share with you what I have learned that you don't have to make the same mistakes as I did. When it came to creating content, back when I started my business, I would randomly create content that honestly had no real purpose or it wasn't really a part of a bigger [00:05:00] strategy. It was just a kind of pump out content on social media.
[00:05:04] And I didn't really have a proper idea of what those content pieces were really doing to the overarching goals that I had set out for the business. So if you are currently at this point right now, don't beat yourself up because I think this is very common as entrepreneurs and often, especially with social media nowadays, we can get so caught up in what is trending right now.
[00:05:28] How can I hop on this trend? This trendy audio that's, you know, trending right now, or this different TikTok dance. I don't honestly, you guys, I'm not on TikTok, so I don't even know what's going on over there. But it's like, how can I quickly create content that might go viral, right? And so here's the hard truth though.
[00:05:46] When you are only focused on going viral or pleasing the algorithm or chasing followers or subscribers or likes and comments, et cetera, you're not actually focusing on the long term [00:06:00] strategy of actually scaling a profitable and sustainable business. So before we dive into the fastest and easiest way to create content, before we even get to content, you need to get super, extremely clear on what your long term mission and vision is for your business.
[00:06:21] So we go into a lot of depth in this in our business program, action takers club. But to sum it up, this is really figuring out the why behind why you are doing your business. Why are you doing what you're doing? Who are you serving? With your business and what impact are you making for your clients and also for the world at large?
[00:06:41] So this is going to continue to evolve as you grow and scale your business. For us, our mission has changed so much over the years, and right now our mission is to be the go to community for female entrepreneurs, to learn, connect, and collaborate with others and [00:07:00] scale a profitable business without working around the clock.
[00:07:03] Our strategy today when it comes to content creation is creating content that specifically answers the questions that our community is asking and solving their problems. So it's my goal to solve your problems and to answer your questions, right? And so if you can solve the problems of your ideal clients and customers, they will keep coming back to you again and again, and again, if you continue to create content and share resources that is solving their pain points, you will be that go-to person for them for all time, right?
[00:07:43] You will build that know, like, and trust factor that will allow them to trust you and ultimately want to invest in your products or your services. So when I realized that I was going to go, when I got pregnant back in [00:08:00] 2020, and I realized that I was going to go from working about 40 to 60 hours a week to 10 to 15 hours at the beginning. Now I'm at about 15 to 20 hours a week. I recognize that I needed to work smarter, not harder and figure out a way to make a bigger impact in the very limited time that I was gonna have in my business.
[00:08:20] So I did not have time. I literally could not spend hours on Instagram or TikTok or wherever chasing trends in order to go viral, right? I needed a content strategy that could be the same every single week that I could plan in advance that I could batch my content so that I could actually take time away from being in the business all the time. Okay. So that was something that I really, really wanted as far as growing a sustainable business.
[00:08:53] I did not want to also be on social media all the time. And so for me, I need to, I needed to figure out a [00:09:00] way, how am I gonna build my business? That is not only going to allow me to spend less time creating content, right? It's gonna be effective. And it's also gonna serve the long term vision and mission of my business and bring in that consistency over the long term, not just be a short term strategy.
[00:09:21] So if you've listened to the episodes that we just did, we did a two part series it's episode 70 and 71, and it's 10 creative ways to make more sales in your business without posting on social media. So if you haven't listened to those episodes, I highly recommend you listen to those episodes because I talk about the short term strategies for getting more sales and also the long term strategies.
[00:09:47] And so I wanted to create a content creation strategy that was not only gonna help me short term, but that was also gonna help me long term. And so for me, it's like, okay, how can I [00:10:00] do the least amount of work and get the most amount of impact, right? Here's where I want you to get a pen and paper out and I want you to take notes. So whether you're taking notes again with pen and paper, or if you're gonna take notes on your phone, I want you to listen up right now.
[00:10:15] The fastest and easiest way to create content for your business is this. Create one piece of long form content and then repurpose it to as many platforms as you are able to. Let me break that down and actually under, or explain that a little bit more. This is where I want you to choose a long form piece of content that is either going to be shared on your website, so via a blog, right? So like a blog post could also be a podcast episode if you have a podcast or a YouTube.
[00:10:49] So this is where it's a public piece of content, it's a long form piece of content. And then repurpose that to the platforms that you are currently [00:11:00] active on and what you have capacity for, right? So if you are a solo entrepreneur, you don't have a team, and maybe right now you have your blog and you are also on Instagram and your, you have your email list, right? Okay.
[00:11:14] So those are three things. Those are the things you're gonna repurpose it to. If you have more people on your team, or maybe you have more time. Maybe you're not a mom like I am, or maybe you don't have a full-time job and you are now running your business full-time so you have more capacity, which is amazing.
[00:11:30] Okay. So then we are going to create that one piece of long form content, and then you're gonna repurpose it to all of the different platforms that you are currently active on. And ideally you have one platform that you're super consistent on and then repurposing it to all the different platforms, depending on what capacity you currently have.
[00:11:50] Right? So again, if you are a solo entrepreneur or if you have a team awesome, then delegating, that is really important. For us, for example, we are prioritizing [00:12:00] the podcast first. We actually put out two episodes a week and this is the one platform that we are super consistent with, right. So if nothing else is done, getting done that week, we are getting done two episodes.
[00:12:12] That is my goal. And then, as we have that more capacity, we are going to repurpose it to all the different platforms that we have. From there, once we have our podcast, we're repurposing it to our website, which is on our blog. Then we're repurposing it to our email list, then to social media, which includes, you know, Instagram, Facebook group. And we are also starting to develop a Pinterest strategy as well.
[00:12:39] And we will continue to evolve as we grow. And as we add to our team and as we have people to help us to repurpose to all of these different platforms, but right now we're just keeping it super simple. And again, it's when we have the capacities too.
[00:12:53] So, sometimes, honestly an episode doesn't get uploaded to Instagram. The only time that we for [00:13:00] sure upload an episode and make sure we promote it is when we have a guest on the podcast. But a lot of the times, when I'm doing solo episodes, if I don't have the capacity that week, or if our team doesn't have the capacity that week, and we are not able to post on Instagram about the episode, it doesn't get posted.
[00:13:16] And that's okay. Because the really important thing that I want you to recognize here is that I want you to be able to prioritize the places where it's gonna make the biggest impact in your specific business. So for us, it's the podcast first, then it's to the website, then it's to our email list, then social media.
[00:13:36] And so I think it's really important to recognize what is the order of importance that your content gets posted and give yourself grace. I think it's so important to not burn yourself out just because you're trying to be active on 1,000,001 different platforms. We have actually had Instagram take a really big backseat in our business in the past, I [00:14:00] would say probably in the past year. Because it's actually not the number one driver for our business used to be, but now with algorithm changes with everything changing. Now, it is the podcast, it's our email list and it's our website. And so we are really doubling down on the things that are really working and the things that are making the biggest impact for us in our business.
[00:14:21] And so that's why, what I encourage you to do as well, figure out what is making the biggest impact and making sure that you're creating content for that platform, then repurposing to other platforms as you have the capacity to do so.
[00:14:34] Another thing that I wanna share here is making sure that when you are repurposing to those different platforms, recognize the platform that you are on and repurpose the content in a way that's gonna make sense for the platform that you're on.
[00:14:48] For example, we have been doing reels on Instagram instead of just static posts with a caption, now that reels are being pushed on Instagram, for example, [00:15:00] and by the way, this I am doing in the most simple way ever. So if you wanna seeing an example, you can go to @businessbabesco and see some of our last few reels.
[00:15:09] I've literally recorded myself recording a podcast. I've also recorded myself putting makeup on, and then I put text over the screen and I share the tips that we're sharing within the podcast episode. And I have it here on the screen on the real, and then I put music to it. Recognize the platform that you're on and making sure you're curating whatever content and how you're repurposing it makes sense to the platform.
[00:15:33] Another example of this is in our Facebook group, often what I will do is sometimes I'll just share a photo and a caption with the link to our podcast. But other times I will do a poll in there, right? Because oftentimes in Facebook groups, Polls do really well. And so I'll share a poll and it'll be a question that actually somehow leads into the podcast episode.
[00:15:55] So the last poll that I did in our Facebook group was around who in this [00:16:00] Facebook group is a mom? The last podcast episode that we did is on how to grow your business as a mom and how to structure your time. I would love to know who, who here is a mom? Are you a mom of one, a mom of more than one kid? Are you a plant or cat or dog mom?
[00:16:16] so I kind of just shared a little pole and that got a lot of engagement. And so making sure that you're not just like copy pasting to each platform, if you are repurposing, you are looking at, okay, what is that platform? What is actually doing well on that specific platform and then curating the content in a way, you can still repurpose it, so it's the same content, right?
[00:16:38] It's the same theme, so you're not having to come up with another whole idea for what you're gonna post. It's basically the same idea, but it's just formatted in a different way. That makes sense for the platform that you're posting to. So hopefully that makes sense. And then when it comes to us going to be investing in Pinterest strategy, The reason why we haven't done that so [00:17:00] far is that I didn't wanna just be like posting on Pinterest without any kind of a strategy.
[00:17:04] So what we're gonna be doing is creating graphics in Canva, and then we are going to be sharing those graphics on Pinterest. And it's gonna link back to our blog, which links to our podcast. Hopefully that all makes sense. If you have any questions about this, specifically, any follow up question feel free to come find me on Instagram, I would love to connect with you. I'd love to answer any questions that you have.
[00:17:27] You can find me @danilivinglife, or you can find us at the podcast on @ businessbabesco. I would also love if you joined our Facebook group, it would be so great to have you join us in there. You can ask questions, you can connect with other incredible women who are also members of this community and listeners to the podcast.
