107 - A Sneak Peek into Our Automated Sales Process that Brings in New Leads and Clients While Offering Value!

LISTEN TO THE EPISODE HERE:

Danielle pulls back the curtain and talks about our Automated Sales Process that brings in New Leads & Clients while also providing value for our community!

The word “Automation” can sound really overwhelming - that why Danielle breaks it all down and reveals that it can be as simple or as complicated as you want it to be. She shares our Automated Sales Process and also gives you some ideas and inspiration for other ways you could set up an automated sales process.

What is an Automated Sales Process?

It is a way for our Ideal clients to find us, gain value from a free resource and then be nurtured in a way that will help them make a decision on what their next steps might be!

We at Business Babes have been offering free resources to our community since the our humble beginnings, but it's only within the last few years that we have gotten really strategic about the types of resources we are providing and how they are value and helping clients to make a decision on what their next steps will look like in working with us!

How We Implement an Automated Sales Process

So as many of you already know, our ATC Is our Signature Business Program + Community to support Business Owners to Launch and grow profitable businesses without burnout. Inside the program, Danielle teaches systems, processes, how to attract your ideal clients and customers, sales, pricing and so much more!

  1. Offer Value & Drive Interest

In order to bring value and drive more interest and sales to the program, we hosted a Free Masterclass on how to Scale a Profitable Business without working around the clock! We hosted this Class LIVE and we recorded it and it is available as an on-demand free Masterclass for anyone in our community!

If you want to go check it out you can go to businessbabescollective.com/masterclass

In the workshop, Danielle shares a ton of value on what mistakes are keeping you stuck, how to cut your work hours in half and the framework for scaling a profitable business without hitting burnout.

  2. Automated Follow-Up

At the end of the workshop, she shares more in depth about the opportunity to join us inside of Action Takers Club. When people register for the class they enter their name and email and get added to an e-mail series that reminds them to watch the training and creates a follow up sequence helping them make a decision on whether or not Action Takers Club is for them!

This Automated Sales Sequence has brought in hundreds of leads and resulted in Students for our Programs and Coaching!

The great thing about this process is that much of the heavy lifting when it comes to “Sales” is already done through our clients watching the workshop - so the focus can be so much more on the visibility strategies and collaboration strategies to get in front of new audiences.

Other ways to Implemented and Automated Sales Process

Offer a sample of your product as an incentive for someone to join your email list.

The key with building your email list is to make sure you have a way to nurture new potential clients or customers who have joined your list.

  1. Start by setting up a welcome sequence - a series of emails that provides value and share more information on how they can work with you or purchase your products.

  2. Continue to nurture new potential clients with a follow-up sequence - send out weekly emails. This is key when It comes to building that relationship with leads and potential clients!

Product-Based Business

If your product is more expensive or shipping is an issue, the next best way to incentivize your potential clients is to offer either:

  1. a gift card,

  2. a guide,

  3. or a discount!

For Example: if you re a clothing company - could you offer a seasonal styling guide like a Fall or Winter Styling Guide, and in addition you could offer a gift card like $5 or $10 gift card towards their first purchase with you.

Service-Based Business

You can offer a sample of your services:

  1. Free Tutorial,

  2. a PDF Guide,

  3. Workshop,

  4. Masterclass or

  5. some kind of value-packed resource that would lead into a sale

The key with building your email list is to make sure you have a way to nurture those new people who are joining your list. Make sure your emails provide value and share more information on how they can work with you or purchase your products.

However you decide to set up your sales process, it’s important to test it and make sure it is working for you and that leads are actually converting to sales & clients!

[00:01:25] So let's go ahead, today I'm going to be actually pulling back the curtain a little bit and talking about our automated sales process that we currently use to bring in new leads and clients for our business. So I know that the word automation and sales process, it can sound really overwhelming and maybe scary for a lot of people who, especially who are new to business.

[00:01:49] So I wanted to kind of break it down for you and pull back the curtain, let you know how ours is set up, and also let you know that it can be super simple. It can be as [00:02:00] simple or as complicated as you want it to be. Yours does not and probably should not look exactly like ours, but I'm gonna share with you what ours looks like and also give you some ideas and inspiration for other ways that you could set up a automated sales process and how you can actually nurture your community, have them become leads and ultimately potential clients and customers for your business. So I'm excited. I hope you're excited. Let's go ahead and dive in.

[00:02:27] Welcome to the Business Babes Collective Podcast. I'm your host, Danielle Wiebe. In this podcast, you'll learn tangible business tips and strategies on how to grow successfully and sustainably. We'll also interview seasoned entrepreneurs so you can listen in on their stories and see behind the scenes of what it took to grow and scale their businesses. Let's dive in as we discuss the wild, exciting, crazy challenging, rollercoaster ride of entrepreneurship.

[00:02:57] Before we get into this juicy episode [00:03:00] today, quick reminder that our free organic growth workshop is available. And in that workshop you can learn how to get massive exposure to grow your revenue and impact through the power of collaborations.

[00:03:14] So if you wanna get access to that, you can go to business babescollective.com/workshop. Um, it's also gonna be linked in the show notes, so you can go ahead and click there if you don't want to, you know, type all that out. Not only are you going to learn so much when you get access to that workshop, but you're also going to hear about something so incredibly exciting.

[00:03:36] We have our strategic collaboration series that we've launched, and it is available for, specifically for our Mastermind members. So if you've been thinking about applying for a mastermind and you know you want to take your business to the next level, you wanna accomplish more in your business in less time by working smarter, not harder, you want the accountability of other [00:04:00] successful entrepreneurs, you wanna sharpen your communication and leadership strategies, and you just want clarity on what you need to focus on next in your business that will make the biggest impact.

[00:04:12] These are all things that we do within our mastermind, not to mention the bonus things that we have going on as Mastermind only events, VIP access to events, there's just so much exciting staff happening within that community. So if you're curious, you wanna learn more or you wanna apply, go to business babescollective.com/mastermind and get your application in. Application deadline is this Friday. So get your application in and for some reason you are listening to this episode after Friday, then you can still apply.

[00:04:47] You'll be the first to know when we open up doors again. So still get your application in. Even if you're hearing this after, you can still apply and we will put you on hold for the next time we open the doors.

[00:04:59] [00:05:00] So let's go ahead now and talk about automated sales process. So, basically, in a nutshell, if you're like, What in the world is an automated sales process? it is a way for your ideal community and clients to find you, gain value from free resource of some kind, and then be nurtured in a way that helps them make a decision on what their next steps should be and if they are to become a customer or a client of your business.

[00:05:33] Okay, so that's kind of a broad, overarching explanation of what a sales process is. Now, depending on your business, your sales process is going to look different.

[00:05:44] So if you are a product based business, if you're a service based, if you are a luxury product or service, it's going to look different depending on your business model. And so I'm gonna give you an example of what ours looks like specifically for one of our [00:06:00] programs. I wanna give you just a quick example of what that looks like so you can get an idea of what yours could potentially look like.

[00:06:08] But I'm also gonna share at the end just some ideas of how yours could potentially be different or similar to ours, depending on what kind of business you have. So we have an automated sales process specifically for our Action Takers Club program, and we also have one for our Mastermind.

[00:06:24] But our Mastermind one looks a little bit different. So today I'm gonna dive into, specifically, our Action Takers Club. So, as many of you already know, our Action Takers Club is our signature business program and community that supports business owners to launch and grow profitable businesses without burnout.

[00:06:42] So inside the program, I teach a lot of systems, processes, how to attract your ideal clients and customers, sales, pricing and so much more. We talk about goal setting, we talk about mindset, and there's so much juicy information in that program, but it's really [00:07:00] difficult to sell that program if I just simply talk about it and I don't have any kind of nurture sequence or answering questions, all those kind of things because the program itself is so robust and there's so much that's included with it, it requires more information from the potential client who's thinking about or potential student that is thinking about joining the program.

[00:07:26] So in order to bring more value to our community and also drive more interest and sales to the program, we hosted a free masterclass and it was called How to Scale a Profitable Business Without Working Around the Clock.

[00:07:40] So we hosted this class live and we now have it as a recorded workshop that is, that is available on demand as a free masterclass for anyone in our community. So if you're curious what this looks like, you can actually go check it out. You can go to businessbabescollective.com/masterclass and you can check it out.

[00:07:59] You can [00:08:00] get access to it. It's on demand. You put your name and email in and, automatically, you'll be redirected to a screen where it has the workshop there and then where you can press play and you can watch the workshop. So, in that workshop, I share a ton of free value, free information, basically on what it takes to scale a profitable business.

[00:08:21] I talk about the mistakes that are keeping you stuck in your business, how to cut your work hours in half, and then also the framework that we use to scale a profitable business without hitting burnout. So all of this is jam packed into that workshop. It's about an hour long, and at the end of the workshop, I share more in depth about the opportunity to join us inside of Action Takers Club.

[00:08:44] So basically I share the whole framework. I share the value of how to do it, if you know you wanna do that on your own, and we wanna go forward and implement what I talked about on your own, But I also share the opportunity that you can [00:09:00] actually get our support, our team support, my support, as well as access to the modules that we teach inside of the program and the step by step homework, all those things.

[00:09:10] Obviously there's so much more that people can get access to if they purchase the program itself. And so basically what the workshop does is it gives value, it shares information, but it also gives a taste of what the program is about and what it would feel like to be a part of it.

[00:09:31] And so this automated sales sequence has brought in hundreds of leads and also resulted in so many students for our programs and also our other things as well. So people will find us through that workshop. They will watch the uh, workshop. Some of them will join Action Takers Club. Other people will go on to look at other things we have to offer, such as coaching or our events, or our mastermind.

[00:09:56] And so it's a really cool tool to [00:10:00] give free value and in exchange, a lot of those people end up joining our community in some way. So the greatest thing about this process is that so much of the heavy lifting when it comes to this, sales is already done through our clients watching the workshop, and so we can just focus on visibility strategies to actually drive more traction to that free workshop.

[00:10:26] And so that's where we love to talk about things like collaboration with other business owners, getting exposure for your business, and actually driving more traffic to your free resources so that ultimately you have more leads, which also results in more sales. Now, another thing that's really, really important is the follow up, right?

[00:10:48] So you can have the best free resources in the whole entire world. But if you're not actually doing anything to actually follow up with those people, because some people, for [00:11:00] example, will watch the workshop. They'll be like, Oh my goodness, this is amazing. I'm actually super interested in this community.

[00:11:06] I'm interested in maybe joining this program. But then, you know, something happens in their day or their kid wakes up from the nap, or their dog needs to be walked, or they're like, Oh, I'm hungry. I'm gonna get a snack, whatever that is, and they get distracted and then they close the link and they forget about you, right?

[00:11:23] So the main thing is to make sure that you actually have a follow up sequence. This looks usually looks like an email series that reminds them to watch the training or get access to your resource of some sort, and creates actually a follow up sequence to help them make the best decision for them.

[00:11:43] So whether or not they want to, for us, for example, whether or not they are a good fit for Action Takers Club, or if Action Takers Club is a good fit for them, right? And so this automation is so, so important because you set it up once and then you don't have to [00:12:00] do it any longer, right? All you have to do is tweak and change things as you go or as updates are made, and it is just so, so amazing how you can just set something up once and it just works for you again and again and again.

[00:12:13] And, like I said, this has brought in so many leads and so many students into our program and it is all automated. And so for us, like we get to just focus on our visibility strategies, such as the podcast, such as getting in front of other people's audiences, collaboration, strategy. That's why we're so passionate about talking about collaboration and it is just so amazing because I get to do what I love best, which is connecting and collaborating and podcasting, all of those things. And I don't have to worry about the sales portion of it because that is all automated. And so this is, of course, just an example for our Action Takers Club program.

[00:12:56] Now our mastermind and [00:13:00] our coaching that we do is different because with the Mastermind we actually have an application process, and so obviously it's a higher price point than Action Takers Club, and so there is a different sales process that is attached to that. I'm actually going through the applications personally, I'm making sure that it feels like it's a good fit, they're at a good stage in their business to get as much value out of the Mastermind. And then I actually hop on calls with people that have applied to see if they're the right fit.

[00:13:29] And the reason for this is because it's a different type of program. It's a different type of product. And it really needs to, because it's such an intimate, The Mastermind is such an intimate community, it really needs to be a good fit. And so that's why there's the application process. That's why I have a phone call. All those things are needed for that process. And of course, it's a higher price point as well. And so, Some of your products and [00:14:00] services are gonna be a really good fit for a completely automated sales process.

[00:14:05] Some other of your products or services might be better for a automated sequence up into a certain point, and then it gets to, okay, now I need to come in and actually connect with these people one on one. Book a consultation call, whatever that looks like, whatever your process is going to be. And so I just wanted to share that so that you could understand that for different products and services, you might have different sales processes.

[00:14:33] Okay, so now that we kind of have that clear, let's talk about some examples. I wanna give you some examples in case you feel like this type of sales process wouldn't work for you or for your business. So let's give an example for a product-based business.

[00:14:48] So let's say you have a tea company and maybe people can sign up for a tea subscription where they get tea delivered to their door every [00:15:00] single month.

[00:15:00] I mean, that would be pretty epic actually. If anyone has a tea company like that, let me know, cuz that sounds amazing. So an example for you could be, okay, what could you potentially offer as a resource, as a free sample? Something like that, where, if people sign up for your email list, you, they get access to something for free.

[00:15:22] So you could have a resource of different types of teas for different seasons, let's say. With that, you can either have maybe a discount code for your products or maybe a gift card towards your products. Another thing you can offer is a sample of your product. I think this is so, such, like, such a good idea because not a lot of people offer samples for their products.

[00:15:45] Um, I know for some businesses, it would be really hard to do that if it's a physical product and it's expensive. But if you can somehow offer some, some sort of sample, that would be amazing. And you could either have it as a cost of doing business to [00:16:00] ship it out, or maybe they just pay for the shipping, whatever that looks like.

[00:16:04] And then, you know, you can get them hooked on your product. You also have them now on your email list where you can have a follow up sequence that helps them get to know your business more. It gives them value, it shares, you know, helpful resources, all of those things, and it can help them potentially make a decision of whether or not they wanna be a customer.

[00:16:24] Another example could be like, let's say you are a clothing company. Could you offer a styling guide? Like maybe it's a seasonal styling guide for fall or winter, what's in season right now, What you can wear with which, All those things, Man, I need help with that right now. I'm just like, I'm struggling with my wardrobe you guys. I'm just gonna be honest. I don't even know what to wear anymore. I don't even know what looks good on me. I need some help. So if you could offer some of sort styling guide. And then in addition to that, offer some sort of a gift card. Again, like $5 or $10 gift card towards their [00:17:00] first purchase with you.

[00:17:01] That would be amazing. If you are a service based entrepreneur, I highly recommend having something, something online, but something tangible. So for example, a free tutorial, a free training, Maybe it's a video training, a PDF guide or a workbook, or maybe a workshop masterclass, right? Some kind of value packed resources that could lead into a sale.

[00:17:28] And so, You could lead that directly into a sale by having like a checkout right there where people can purchase on their own. If it's a lower priced option or it can direct to a consult call with you. So say for example, you are a web designer or maybe you're a organizer, like a home organizer, whatever that is, maybe what it does is that PDF or that guide or that workshop leads into a link where they can book a call with you for a [00:18:00] consultation. Okay?

[00:18:00] So there's lots of different ways to do this, and again, make sure you have a follow up sequence on the backside of that so that you can be building your email list, but also have a way to keep connected with your new leads, because, people will join your email list and then totally forget about you if you're not checking in, right?

[00:18:20] So are you sending out regular emails? Do you have a welcome sequence to your emails? Those are really, really important. So however you decide to set up your sales process, it is really important to test it out, make sure it's working, and that leads are actually converting into sales and clients.

[00:18:37] So if this is something that you are like, Okay, this is way over my head, but I know it's important, I really want support with this, then join our community. This is something that I have helped a lot of our students with; brainstorming, coming up with ideas. So if you're a new entrepreneur and you're someone who is maybe just getting started, or you're in your first few years and you haven't really [00:19:00] gained much traction in your business yet, I would say. Action Takers Club is probably a great place for you to start.

[00:19:05] Also, the most affordable way to get access to our community and to me for our monthly coaching calls and all of that. And then if you're further along in your business, and again, you've been interested in joining our mastermind, that is a really great way where you can get really in depth support, not only from me, but the other incredible women within our group as well, who are brilliant and amazing, and they give incredible ideas and feedback.

[00:19:31] So again, go to businessbabescollective.com/mastermind, apply for our mastermind if you're at that level. If not, check out our Action Takers Club. It's also on our website. There's a link to it right there as well. And I just wanted to say like, I'm so excited for you, wherever you're at, your business, wherever you are in the process of creating some sort of sales system.

[00:19:52] This is something that's really important because a lot of people shy away from the sales aspect of their business, but this is how we [00:20:00] make money in our businesses, right? And so it's so important to have a system in place to know how you are gaining clients, and you're not only focused on just the visibility strategies, cuz that is really important.

[00:20:14] But you also need to be super clear on how are people finding out about you and what's the process in them making a decision to purchase your product or service. So I hope you enjoyed today's episode. I would love to hear from you. So if you got value out of today's episode, DM me on Instagram. I would love to hear about it.
