Reconnect with your Network & Get out and Network with new people
Attend an in person event, start to grow your network - you can’t do it in-person, then do it virtually! We have So many people who tell us that they have met their best clients/customers or collaborators who have introduced them to a huge group of customers at our events. When you are networking, Focus on what you can GIVE not what you can receive.
Create a Limited Time Offer
This could be One-on-one consulting, a VIP Day, coaching or group program. If you are product-based, it could be a bundle of your products - you could even add on consulting to your products!
Brand it as a Holiday Promo, Year End, Boxing Week Special, or Christmas Sale
Follow up with past clients and customers
Create a special offer just for them - A private offer that is really AMAZING - It could be that same bundle ad a discount with another brand or a gift card with a purchase
Create a referral program with your current customers or clients - If they refer you business, they can get either free products/ services OR cash
Host and in-person or virtual event
Sell tickets OR create a free or low priced event/workshop or class and during the event and sell your special limited time offers
Bonus Tip: If you are new to business, focus on building your community, connections, and audience, specifically your e-mail list.
You can implement these strategies at any stage of your business! It will be a lot easier to create those cash injections in your business If you have an e-mail list and you are continuing to grow and nurture that list.
Remember that it’s not just the opportunities you find, but how your nurture those opportunities is what really counts.

[00:00:00] Danielle: Hello, welcome to another episode of the Business Babes Collective Podcast. I am so excited that you are here, and I'm really excited for this topic. Today we're gonna be diving into four different strategies that you can implement into your business to create more income in just 30 days. So I'm really excited for this topic because you know, it's the end of the year, depending on when you're listening to this, if you're listening to this on the day that it comes out, or maybe the week that it comes out, we are gearing up for the end of the year. It is holiday season, it's Christmas season, and you know, a lot of times we feel that if we haven't had the best year, we feel like, okay, now it's too late.
[00:00:42] Like let's just wait until 2023. 2023 is gonna be so much better, and I'm just gonna kind of coast for the, for the rest of the year. This year was kind of a wash. I want you to have a different mindset than that. I want you to be excited about the idea [00:01:00] that any point of your life, any point of your life, any point of your business, you can turn it around.
[00:01:06] Even if you have really struggled this year. Now you might have a super successful year. Maybe you've had one of your best years yet. In that case, awesome. I'm excited that you're listening to this as well, cuz this is just gonna put fuel on the fire of your already successful year to really end off the year strong.
[00:01:25] Because often how we end off the year is how we're gonna start in the new year. Right? And so not to say that you cannot take time off. I, personally am planning to take lots of fun time off this season to spend time with family and friends, and we have so many personal things planned. So I'm not talking about working and hustling up until the end of the year.
[00:01:48] What I'm talking about is putting some strategies and ideas in place so that you can have some cash coming in the door before the end of the year, and you can set yourself up for a really successful new [00:02:00] year. Before we get into all the strategies though, I wanna make sure that our mindsets are right because, you know, these strategies that I'm gonna share with you are really only going to work for you if you have a good mindset around these things.
[00:02:15] So the reason I wanna talk about this is because a lot of people, when they're thinking about, okay, I need to create a cash injection in my business, or I need more income and I need it now, and they're kind of in that desperate place, and trust me, I'm not judging at all because I have been in that place in my business before and I remember that feeling.
[00:02:35] I remember feeling like, Man, I need to make money and I need to make money now. And it is not a comfortable place to be in. But what I want us to do is I want us to move away from the, it's all about me and it's all about how I can make more money. And I want you to put the focus back on the people that you are serving, right?
[00:02:57] So as business owners, [00:03:00] we are, our job is to serve our ideal clients. We are problem solvers. And so when we sell and when we are making offers and selling our products and services, we are doing this in order to solve people's problems. So the products and the services that we offer need to add that benefit to people's lives that they really want.
[00:03:23] So we're gonna be talking about, in this episode we're gonna talk about creating referrals. We're gonna talk about making offers to your network and potential past clients. But in order to do this successfully, you need to know what is actually going to incentivize them to take action and what is most valuable for them in their current state right now and what's actually going to help them solve their problems. Right. Okay.
[00:03:50] So now that we have that, now that our mindset is right, let's go ahead, grab that cup of coffee and we are gonna dive right in.
[00:03:59] [00:04:00] Welcome to the Business Babes Collective podcast. I'm your host, Danielle Wiebe. [00:04:30] Okay. Four strategies on how to create a more income and cash flow cash injection in your business over the next 30 days. So let's go ahead and get started.
[00:04:40] Number one is to reconnect with your network. So reconnect with people that you have connected with, whether that be the beginning of this year or sometime this year, potentially it has been years since you've spoken to them.
[00:04:56] Maybe it's people that you connected with at the beginning of your business a [00:05:00] few years ago, but reconnect with those people that you've networked with and just open up a conversation. So ask them how they're doing. Tell them like happy holidays, like, um, crazy that it's at the end of the year. What are you up to?
[00:05:15] Just reconnect with those people because a lot of times what ends up happening is when we reconnect with those connections, whether those be potential clients or they might be potential referral partners or collaborators or business connections, when we are top of mind, sometimes that actually opens up doors and opens up opportunities where they say, Hey, I was actually just thinking about you the other day. I would love to refer my friend to you, or whatever.
[00:05:44] And so a lot of times what I find is that when I reconnect with people, there's a world of possibilities that open up when that happens. Okay. So reconnect with people that you've already connected with and then in, that as well, the same tip is get out there and actually [00:06:00] network with new people.
[00:06:01] So whether that be in person, I mean there's so many opportunities during the holidays to network and be involved in events and attend things where you can actually network with new people um, be in person if you can, because that trust and that connection is built so much quicker if you are in person.
[00:06:21] And if it's not possible for some reason, then definitely still make an effort to do that virtually. Um, we have networking opportunities both in person and virtually within our community. If you are in Vancouver, we actually have an in-person event coming up next week, um, which we're so excited about. It's our holiday party. It's gonna be amazing if you're in Vancouver and you have not gotten your ticket yet. What are you waiting for? We're actually 80% sold out at this point, and so definitely grab your ticket for that. It's gonna be an incredible night. And it is actually focused on networking. We have a pop-up market, we also [00:07:00] have a networking portion of the event. And so it's all gonna be about connecting and networking.
[00:07:04] And the cool thing about it is, is that, you know, as entrepreneurs, , we often are working by ourselves, right? We're working usually, maybe sometimes in our pajamas at home. And so it's important for us to actually build that community for ourselves, and we don't have often a team to bounce ideas off of or to collaborate with and network with.
[00:07:28] And so it's so important for us to actually get outside of our comfort zone, put ourselves in those situations. And I know it can be scary to, you know, attend something, especially if you're like, I don't even know who I'm gonna know there. And that's why for our in-person events, what we do is we actually open up a group chat for the people that are coming solo.
[00:07:48] All you have to do is DM us your ticket and we'll add you to the group chat. And it's just a way to connect with people beforehand. But if you cannot attend in person, or you know, you're not, you're not in [00:08:00] Vancouver, but you still wanna network online, that is what is included within our Action Takers Club program.
[00:08:07] So not only do you get the course that teaches you how to scale a profitable business without working around the clock. But you also get access to our community, and we have monthly virtual networking events where you can actually network with people within our community. And there has been so many amazing connections that have come out of our community whether it be virtually or in person.
[00:08:33] I have had so many people tell me that, Hey Danielle, I met this person at one of your events years ago. We're still in contact today. We're doing business together. Or you know, this was my first client that I met at one of your events. Like it is the, the amount of stories that I hear, or people that have actually started businesses together, they're actually partners now in business, and they met either at one of our events or virtually a part of our community.[00:09:00]
[00:09:00] It's just amazing. So it has just been such a blessing for us to hear those stories, but I just wanna encourage you, like connect and network with a group of people that resonate with you. Now, it doesn't have to be our community, but get plugged into a community because I can guarantee you, that is where all of your opportunities are lying for you.
[00:09:20] So if you are not a part of a community right now, Find a community and connect with them and network and make sure you make yourself known. Because if you are hiding behind your computer, you're not putting yourself out there, you're not building connections, then how are you going to be able to build a profitable business if no one knows about it? Right? So that is the first step is make sure you are networking and also reconnecting with the people that you have networked with in the past as well.
[00:09:50] Number two. Create a limited time offer. So if you want to create a cash injection in your business, you wanna make more income, create an [00:10:00] offer that is for a limited time.
[00:10:02] So this could be anything. If you are in the service-based world, this could be a one-on-one consulting call. This could be a VIP day, a coaching program, whether it be a group program or just one-on-one. If you have products, this could be a bundle of some of your favorite products or products that go really well together.
[00:10:22] Even you can have an add-on of if you have a product-based business, you could have an add-on that actually is a service so, Let's say you have a cosmetic company, right? You could add a 30 minute makeup consultation to, uh, bundle where they purchase a certain amount of products or they spend a certain amount and they get a free makeup consultation with you where you'll actually hop on Zoom with them, whether it be, you know, on Zoom virtually, or it can be in person, uh, and you'll actually show them how to use the products and guide them in that. How cool would that be? So just increasing the [00:11:00] value of the bundle that you are creating.
[00:11:03] Again, whether that be services or products, you can also cross promote a lot of different ways with other businesses. So this is kind of a little bit of an advanced strategy, and I won't go into it too much. However, there's a lot of ways where you can actually bundle things together and then also partner with another business and they can offer something within your bundle, you can offer something within their bundle. You're cross promoting the bundle. So there's so many different ways to offer that, and so I just wanted to share that just to kind of get your wheels turning and get you excited about the opportunities that could come from that.
[00:11:41] So when it comes to actually marketing this brand, it as a holiday promo, a year end promo, you could do a Boxing Week special or a Christmas sale, whatever you wanna brand it as, and it's a great excuse to create some sort of a bundler offer because it is the holidays and so you know, people are [00:12:00] celebrating, people are spending money, people are gifting other people, and so it's an amazing way to serve your ideal clients and to really hook them up to something really, really special, and also create that cash injection within your own business.
[00:12:15] Okay. Number three is following up with past customers and clients. There is so much money that you are probably leaving on the table with your business right now because you are not properly following up and nurturing your past customers and clients. So I know for some of you, if you are just getting started, you're like, I don't have any customers or clients, who am I supposed to reach out to? We'll talk about that in a second. But if you've been in business for any length of time and you already have customers and clients, maybe you even have an email list that you're growing, that has people that are a part of your community already, create a special offer for them. And maybe it's a private offer [00:13:00] that is really amazing.
[00:13:01] So it could be potentially that same bundle that you are offering. In the first one, it could be something totally different depending on, you know, what their needs are in this moment, and you know, if they are your past customers or clients, you should be able to know that because you should be, you know, getting to know them on a personal level in some form or another.
[00:13:22] If you're not currently doing that, then we can maybe do another episode that's all about how to nurture your audience and how to actually get to know them on a more personal level. But that's a conversation for another.
[00:13:35] but if they are your past customers or clients, you should know a at least a little bit about them. And so you can create an offer that is specific for them that is really incredible and that's basically like a no-brainer offer. So think about an offer that is a no-brainer and think about something that, cuz often we are also our own clients. So our ideal customers are often [00:14:00] ourselves, maybe like three years ago, right?
[00:14:02] And so think about like what would be something that you would have loved to have access to, or what is like a product bundle that you would love to have, um, and, and what price point at, you know? So figuring out like, what does that look like? And how can you offer something really amazing to potential customers or clients.
[00:14:23] The other thing that I wanna share within this tip that is really, really powerful is to create a referral program with your current customers or clients. So you can say like, Hey, if you refer anyone to purchase from us, like, let's say maybe they have a code that they can use, maybe you set up a private code for them, or if you have like a one-on-one service, for example, you can say, Hey, if you introduce me to a new potential client over email, I'm gonna give you this special bonus for doing that. Right?
[00:14:59] So [00:15:00] if they sign on as a client or if they purchase products, you're gonna get this special bonus. So that could be either free product or discounted product. It could even be cash, right? So it's like, Someone signs up, you actually get a 50% commission, or you get a, um, you know, a hundred dollars, um, cash bonus for bringing in your friend, or you get a, uh, maybe a gift card for a certain amount, right? So think about ways that you can actually incentivize your past clients and customers to refer you to new customers and clients because, the reason why I wanna share this is because often your ideal customers and clients are also connected to more of your ideal customers and clients, if that makes sense.
[00:15:45] So, they know like-minded people. So if you are like, oh my goodness, I love this specific client or customer that I have, I want more customers and clients like that, then figure out how [00:16:00] can you create a really incredible referral or incentive program where they can actually refer your products and services on to other people.
[00:16:09] Okay so number four now is to host a in-person or a virtual event. So this is something where you can either sell tickets to this or you can create a free, let's say it's a workshop or a class or something like that, where maybe you are selling something at the actual event, whether that be in person or maybe that's virtual. So again, if you have, let's say you have a product-based business. This could be, Hey, come to this event and maybe the event itself is free, but you're selling products at the event.
[00:16:46] Another way to do this is actually to sell tickets to the event and then have their ticket price be going toward buying products or services from you, if that makes sense. So for example, like let's say their entrance fee is [00:17:00] $50, but then they also get a $50 gift card to your products or services for coming.
[00:17:06] So you can do that, whether that is an in-person event or if it's a digital event. So like a virtual event, for example, an online workshop, an online, Summit or whatever it is. And again, I think a lot of people really complicate these things. So people are like, oh my goodness, no, I could never host an event, you know, within a few weeks.
[00:17:27] But you'll be surprised. Like you can throw something together within a week. We used to do one event per, actually, no, sorry, two events per month, every single month back in 2015 when we started, up until about like 2018. We would do two events a month and we would promote each event for like a week or two weeks at the most.
[00:17:52] And we had a lot of people show up. And so even if you have five people show up, even if you have 10 people show up, like think about the [00:18:00] opportunity that that you have there to connect on a deeper level with your ideal client or customer. Right.
[00:18:07] So, and the other idea that I wanted to throw out there too, if you're worried about numbers, what you could do is you could do an event, whether it be virtual or in person, and maybe you sell tickets. And if you're like, oh man, I would really love double the amount of people that I sold tickets to to actually show up at the event. What you could do is you could say, Hey, surprise, you get to bring a plus one. Or, Hey, surprise, you get to bring a plus one or two to the event, and that will be included with your ticket.
[00:18:38] And so think about the opportunity there. Like you could be introduced to at least, you know, double the amount of people that actually, uh, purchase tickets to your event or signed up for your event. And so if you get those people to be incentivized to bring more people and you can even, again, incentivize them again.
[00:18:58] Say, Hey, if you bring [00:19:00] a friend, you're gonna get an extra bonus this, or bonus that. Right? And so there's so many different ways. And what I really want you to get out of this episode, because I know I am throwing a lot of ideas at you , and you might feel, you might feel one of two things if you are like, you probably feel like, oh my gosh, so excited.
[00:19:23] You're writing notes, you're like, I wanna do all of the above. I'm gonna do it all. Or you might feel the opposite. You might feel like this is all too much. I don't think I can even take action on any of it. And so what I want you to do is I want this to be just a way for you to open up your mind to the possibility of what you could do and choose one thing that I talked about.
[00:19:44] Choose one. Maybe that's connecting with your past clients. Maybe that is going to an in-person networking event or going to a virtual networking event. Maybe it's creating a limited time offer. Maybe it's [00:20:00] hosting an event.
[00:20:00] Just choose one thing that you know that when I said it, you're like, Ooh, okay. Maybe that's a little bit of outside of my comfort zone. And maybe it felt a little like, oh my gosh! But it lit something up in you and you felt excited and you felt like that would be really fun, or I would love to do that, or I can see how that would make a big impact in my business. That's what I want you to take away from this episode.
[00:20:24] So my action steps for you is again, Take one of the things that I said and make a plan of how you're gonna make it happen within the next 30 days, and I wanna hear about it. [00:21:22] but it is going to be so much easier to be able to build a successful, sustainable business if you focus on building your connections and specifically building your email list. So there's so many different strategies on how to do this, and it's something that I absolutely love working with my one-on-one clients with, with our students and Action Takers Club and our mastermind members.
[00:21:46] I love strategizing with them how they can build their audience and email list. And you guys know one of my favorite strategies includes collaborating with other like-minded businesses who already have the audience that you [00:22:00] want to connect with. So that's definitely a whole other topic, but I wanna make sure that I mention this because it's really important that you are focused on the right things.
[00:22:10] So focus on the step that you're in. So if you are still in the building phase, if you're still in the phase of just starting your business, or maybe you're making a huge pivot and you're having to basically start from scratch, that's okay. You can start to build those connections. Build those relationships and also build your email list.
[00:22:30] So my recommendation for you would be focusing on the networking piece of this. You can also create an offer if you want, and you probably have connections. You probably have connections with family and friends who might be your ideal clients. So you can start with those people. However, I want you to know that, in the long term, building your audience and building your email list, it's gonna be so much easier to create some of those cash injections in the future in your business [00:23:00] if you build that foundation.
[00:23:02] So growing and nurturing that list is really, really important. So I wanted to just mention that. And again, this is like a whole other episode, a whole other topic.
