LISTEN TO THE EPISODE HERE:

In episode 186 of the Business Babes Collective podcast, we're diving into five actionable ways to grow your business during the summer months. Summer offers unique opportunities to connect, collaborate, and revamp your business strategy. Let's get started!

FIVE ACTIONABLE WAYS TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS THIS SUMMER

1. Create New Connections

Use the summer to build new relationships or strengthen existing ones. Reach out to people you've been meaning to connect with and suggest fun summer activities like beach days or trying out a new workout class. Attend networking events like our August 25th conference or virtual meetups for online connections.

2. Offer Seasonal Specials

Create a sense of urgency by offering limited-time summer specials, such as flash sales, pop-up events, or virtual workshops. These promotions can boost cash flow and engage your audience during the sunny season.

3. Collaborate with Other Businesses

Collaboration is key. Partner with complementary businesses, especially if you're a local business. Cross-promote each other's products or services to tap into new customer networks and boost brand visibility.

4. Reconnect with Past Clients

Take the time to reconnect with past clients or customers. Reach out with no agenda, provide value, and consider offering limited-time discounts or promotions. Re-engaging with your existing network can lead to renewed business relationships.

5. Refresh Your Website

Utilize the slower pace of summer to refresh your website. Update outdated pages, add testimonials, and ensure your online presence is clear and engaging. You can even gather testimonials from reconnected past clients to showcase on your site.

Bonus Tip: Plan a CEO Day Retreat

Set aside a day to work on your business, not just in it. Summer's slower pace is perfect for planning a CEO Day Retreat. Focus on strategizing, creative brainstorming, and setting goals for the rest of the year.

[00:00:00] Danielle: Okay, I'm going to go ahead and jump right in. I'm going to be sharing five ways to grow your business this summer. So number one is to create some new connections or maybe strengthen some connections that you've already built. So use these summer months to connect with some new people, or again, some people that you've already connected with that you want to just strengthen that relationship and continue to get to know them.

[00:00:26] Danielle: So think of things that you're doing anyways. Maybe it is going to the beach. Or trying a new workout class or whatever that is for you. Could you reach out to someone that you've been meaning to connect with? Maybe someone that you met online that you want to meet in person and ask them if they want to join you.

[00:00:45] Danielle: Many times people's schedules are a little bit more flexible in the summer, so you might just catch them at a perfect time. Another way to gain new connections is to join us. So for our conference on August 25th, [00:01:00] so there is going to be so much time for networking and building a new connections at this event. So that's a perfect opportunity to that, to do that. If you want to do something in person.

[00:01:10] Danielle: Or if you're wanting to build connections online, you can join us for one of our virtual networking events. If you're a part of action takers club, those happen monthly inside of our community. So this is a perfect opportunity to connect with some people there. Okay. Number two is to create a special offer inside of your business. That is only available for a limited time.

[00:01:35] Danielle: So this could be a flash sale. This could be a pop-up event. This could be a workshop that you host. Maybe you want to host a virtual event, like a challenge or a virtual conference. We, we literally just did one called passion to profit. It was so much fun. And it was such a great way to engage our community and to create some momentum. So this is also a [00:02:00] really great way to bring in some cashflow into your business. So if you want to host something like that, like a workshop, a pop event.

[00:02:06] Danielle: Or do a flash sale again, run it for a limited time and have it be something that you do special just for summer. Okay. Number three is to collaborate with other businesses. If you are, let's say a local business let's pretend you are, you own a boutique, right? So if you own a clothing boutique,

[00:02:27] Danielle: You could collaborate with a nearby spa or maybe a restaurant and do a joint promotion. So offer promotions, exclusive promotions or discounts on each others, products or services. To your customers. So this is a great way to cross, promote and tap into each other's networks to increase your brand visibility.

[00:02:52] Number four is reconnect and re-engage past clients [00:03:00] or past customers. So this has a really good time in the summer to just check in with your current client base or your past customers. So check in with no agenda either. Maybe it's connecting with them over email. If you have an email list or maybe it's actually connecting with them one-on-one and checking in, see how they're doing, see how their summer is going.

[00:03:24] Use this time to build that connection. Have something of value that you share with them? Maybe it's a free resource. Maybe it is a. Limited time promotion, maybe it's again, using that collaboration piece. Maybe it's a discount or a coupon for someone else's business. So use the summer as a way to re-engage and add value to your customers and your clients. This is also a great way to just re-engage them. You might be surprised maybe people will come back to you and say, Hey, I was just thinking of you.

[00:03:59] [00:04:00] I would love to work with you again. Or I would love to buy this product or service, whatever you. I have to offer. So again, number four is reconnect and re-engage with past clients and customers. Okay. Number five, five. The final tip that I have is to refresh your website. So often we have pages on our website that we have been meaning to update. And so if you have a little bit more time this summer, if you're finding yourself a little bit slower during this season,

[00:04:30] Use this time to update those sales pages. Those about me pages. If you've been procrastinating. This might be a really good time to do that because the clearer, your front facing materials are the easier it will be to ultimately be able to sell your products and services. Maybe you want to add some testimonials to your website.

[00:04:53] This is a way that you can actually tie. Number four and number five together. So reconnecting with past [00:05:00] clients or customers, asking them to give you a testimonial or a review that you can then use to refresh your website.

[00:05:09] Okay. I have a bonus tip. I know you guys know. I love my bonus tips. So my bonus is to attend or plan a CEO. Or date retreat. I love doing these because you can carve out a day where you can actually focus on working on your business instead of working just in your business. I love doing this in the summer as well, because.

[00:05:36] Most of us in the summer, our businesses slowed down a little bit. We have a little bit of a dip. I know some of you who maybe are in the wedding industry or catering or things like that, maybe you're more busy in the summers. This might not resonate with you. But if you do find you have a little bit more time and you want to be a little more creative in the summer book, a C O day, whether that be with yourself, whether [00:06:00] it be with.

[00:06:00] A business bestie of yours, or whether that be with a coach. I know I do this a lot with my clients and we will spend a day where we'll actually plan out. And work on their business and create a plan and a strategy for what they're going to be doing for the rest of the year. And it is so amazing what you can get done in just a few focused hours. And that is actually what you can do to carve out that day and then work on some of the things that I talked about within this episode.

[00:06:31] So there you have it, the five different ideas to grow your business as summer. Plus a bonus tip. I hope you enjoyed this episode. I hope it was super helpful for you. Take one or maybe two of the tips that I shared with you today. And let me know if you're actually planning on implementing any of these things.
