[00:00:00] DANIELLE: Hello, friends, you are listening to the Business Babes Collective podcast. I hope you are having an amazing day, and I am excited to share some updates in my personal life and also in the business with you today. I'm excited for you to see just a little sneak peek behind the scenes of what has been going on for me.

[00:00:21] DANIELLE: So if this is your first. Ever episode of the podcast, by the way, first of all, welcome. I am so excited that you're here. This episode is gonna be a little bit different from our normal episode, so feel free to tune in. It's gonna be a fun episode, but uh, we have lots of awesome podcast episodes previous to this that are more tactical workshop episodes, we have lots of amazing inspiring interviews, so feel free to go into the archives and start binge listening to all of our episodes.

[00:00:53] DANIELLE: And if you're a regular here on the pod, then thank you so much for being here. I [00:01:00] love that we get to hang out weekly, so, coz. Get your slippers on. Grab a hot cup of coffee and get a cozy blanket because my friends, if you are in Vancouver, Anywhere in Canada really. I know we have listeners from around the world that listen to this podcast, but if you are local, it is cold outside, it is snowy, it is wintertime, it's almost Christmas.

[00:01:25] DANIELLE: I cannot believe it. It's in less than a week. So anyways, hope you cozy up and let's go ahead and jump into the episode. So, I know I've shared this before with you guys, but podcasting is such a fun thing.

[00:01:42] DANIELLE: Like I love it so much, but it's also really weird because, you know, I put out an episode, it goes out there and I have no idea. Who is all listening, like, I have no idea who is listening to this right now. And so, um, I love to hear from you guys. I love when I [00:02:00] get messages in my inbox and you share with me what your takeaways were from an episode or just what resonated with you.

[00:02:08] DANIELLE: So if you're listening right now and you have your phone on you just quickly send me a DM and say, Hey. I'm listening to your podcast right now and cuz I wanna connect with you. I am such a social person and you'll get to know more about me if you're new here, but I really love connecting and I really love people, so I would love to connect with you.

[00:02:29] DANIELLE: So feel free to shoot me a DM over in on Instagram. I'm @danilivinglife is my personal Instagram and let me know you're listening today because today is definitely a more personal episode today, it's gonna be a little bit more chatty. It's not gonna be as structured or organized, but I'm excited to dive in.

[00:02:48] DANIELLE: So for those of you who follow me on social media, you probably already know the news, but I am pregnant. [00:03:00] Yes, I am pregnant again with our second baby. So my husband, Brent, and I are so excited. And yeah, we just feel super blessed and grateful and thankful and all the things, and we're adding a new little one to our family.

[00:03:17] DANIELLE: We're gonna be a family of four. It is just so crazy to think about that. So obviously from a business perspective, it will affect my business plans for the next year, which I'll share with you. , but we are so over the moon to be growing our family. The baby is due in April, so baby Rosie and this new baby are gonna be less than two years apart.

[00:03:44] DANIELLE: So all of my mamas who have babies, or maybe even toddlers or maybe even teenagers at this point that are close together, I would love to hear from you because I've heard from a few people who have found out that I'm. , [00:04:00] they've said that they have, um, kids close together and they say it's so amazing and it's so great to hear that encouragement.

[00:04:06] DANIELLE: So I'm excited. I know it's gonna be pretty chaotic for a while, but I'm excited for the challenge and yeah, I just can't wait. So we've been talking to Rosie, um, about the new baby and she has been kissing my tummy and, um, you know, saying baby all the time. Honestly, I really don't think she understands at all yet.

[00:04:30] DANIELLE: I mean, she's only 18 months, but I cannot wait to see Rosie as a big sister. I think she's gonna be so sweet. The new little baby. And yeah, we're just, we're so excited and it's just wild. So let me share with you, um, what this means for the. So obviously I have done this once before. Um, we already have a little one, but I know that with two, obviously things are gonna change a little bit and things are shifting.[00:05:00]

[00:05:00] DANIELLE: Um, so first of all, for those of you who are in our community, . Whether you're a client of mine or you're a Mastermind member or you're our action takers club, you most likely already know all of this because I tried to share it with our client, clients and community and everything beforehand. But if you're just finding out about it now or you missed it, then don't worry cuz you will.

[00:05:24] DANIELLE: Fully taken care of by our team, and I'm gonna be bringing in some amazing guests while I'm gone, so you will be fully taken care of. And, um, I'm really excited for the people that I'm gonna actually be bringing in, um, while I'm gone. So the plan is actually to take a flexible six weeks off from the business.

[00:05:48] DANIELLE: What that kind of means is basically I'm gonna have an autoresponder on my email, uh, letting people know that I've just had a baby , that um, we [00:06:00] are spending quality time. with baby, and I'm also not going to have any extra things on the calendar, right? So I won't be obviously booking clients during that time.

[00:06:11] DANIELLE: We're not gonna have any events, anything like that. But when I say flexible, like a flexible six weeks. , I mean that I will have everything planned. So the calls that we have within our community, our mastermind calls, our calls within Action Teachers Club, those will be taken care of by our team and other guests that I'm gonna have to be brought in.

[00:06:33] DANIELLE: Uh, but I may or may not jump into one of those calls with the new baby with me if I want to. So this is actually what I did with Rosie when she was. and it was just a perfect fit for me. I didn't feel any pressure to show up for anything because I had it all taken care of. I had it all mapped out, um, before she was born, but there were a few [00:07:00] times during those six weeks that I really missed my mastermind members and my community and my action.

[00:07:07] DANIELLE: Takers club students. And so I decided to jump in on a call or two and that's what felt really good for me. So I know this could absolutely change. Um, but that is the plan. That's my current plan right now. And I will be communicating with my team on what that will look like while I'm outta the office.

[00:07:28] DANIELLE: So, of. Like I said, I won't be scheduling any extra things on my calendar, like coaching calls, VIP days, um, events for the first few months after a baby is born, but I'll probably start to ease back into the work after those six weeks are done. similar to what I did with Rosemary, so what that looked like the first time around.

[00:07:52] DANIELLE: If you haven't listened to any of my episodes where I talked about that, just kind of a brief overview, what that looked like is I took six weeks, kind [00:08:00] of flexible off , and then I started going back and, and kind of easing my way back into work. And it started with five hours a week and then it went to 10 hours a week, and then it was 15 hours a week.

[00:08:14] DANIELLE: I mean, many of you know this if you're listeners to the podcast, but even currently I only work about 20 hours a week on average, sometimes a little bit more, um, if I'm working evenings or weekends, but my quote unquote, full-time back at work is really only part-time hours. So, This might seem kind of crazy to some of you.

[00:08:36] DANIELLE: You might be thinking, oh my goodness, she's only taking six weeks off. Um, and you know, I used to feel weird about sharing publicly, like how much time I was planning to take off because many people would. Respond to that and they would ask like, don't you wanna take more time off? And I would almost feel guilty [00:09:00] and, you know, think to myself, should I want to take more time off.

[00:09:04] DANIELLE: But what I've personally realized is that with my personality, I really thrive when my brain is actively. engaged in things of the business. Now, I've talked about the fact that I love disconnecting. I love taking time off. I take weekends off. I actually don't post. On my business accounts, normally on the weekends or anything like that, like I, I really do take a lot of time off to rest and that's super, super key and important to me.

[00:09:40] DANIELLE: But I really thrive when I have consistency in. Having my brain actively working and having it dreaming and strategizing and, you know, being involved in, in business things. And so for me, [00:10:00] having those flexible six weeks after, Um, baby is born. That's really what feels best for me right now. And I also just feel super blessed that we are in a position where the business now allows me to work such part-time hours.

[00:10:18] DANIELLE: So I've talked about this on previous episodes of the podcast about how I was able to create. Passive income streams and recurring revenue streams in the business that has now given me that flexibility. So I'm able to, you know, really take that step back without having to take a huge hit financially, which is.

[00:10:39] DANIELLE: Such a huge blessing. Uh, and I talked about how I set that up and everything that has gone into that in previous episodes. But if you have any questions on that or you want me to go more in depth on that and how I did that, I'm happy to record another episode. Just kind of mapping that out. I am actually planning on [00:11:00] recording an.

[00:11:01] DANIELLE: in the early new year, just about the different revenue streams that we have as a business so you can really understand how we make money as a business and how all of that works. I know personally for me, I really love to know kind of the nitty gritty behind the scenes of people's businesses and what makes it work and where are they making money, how are they monetizing all those?

[00:11:22] DANIELLE: So interesting to me because sometimes you look at someone's business and you're like, okay, but how do they actually make money? Or what does that look like on a daily basis? What are they working on? What are they doing? And so I would love to bring you behind the scenes and kind of share a little bit more of that.

[00:11:37] DANIELLE: I have shared it on the podcast before, but I wanna do a dedicated episode. So if you're interested. If you want me to talk about that and you have specific questions on it, then feel free to send me a DM or send me an email and let me know, cuz I will definitely, um, record something in the new year. So I'm really excited about the plan that we have for me and returning [00:12:00] to work gradually over the late spring and summer months, and I think by the fall, by September.

[00:12:07] DANIELLE: So far the plan is I'll kind of be back to my current. Work schedule, which again is about 20 hours of dedicated time per week. Uh, the other thing is as well, because I know I'm always curious about this, is that, um, my husband Brent is also planning on taking a parental leave. So that will be so amazing, first of all to be able to spend time, super quality time with just the four of us, um, in the first few weeks and potentially months of new baby's.

[00:12:37] DANIELLE: And it will also be just so great to, um, have him there because I know with two like babies, it's just gonna be a little bit chaotic, especially in the first little while as I'm trying to figure out breastfeeding and new baby and sleep schedule. And I'm sure we're gonna be totally exhausted as we were with Rosie when she was first born.

[00:12:58] DANIELLE: So there's just gonna be a lot of [00:13:00] things. So it'll be so nice to, um, have Brent home for that. And so, yeah. Definitely feel super grateful that he is able to do that because I won't have like a full maternity leave, um, myself. So all of that to be said. I also wanted to share some exciting things that are happening in a couple of updates within the business that you can get really excited about over the next few months.

[00:13:27] DANIELLE: So I created a plan over the next 90 days. Of what I'm going to be doing between now and baby arriving. I'm giving myself some buffer time too, just in case baby, you know, decides to make a surprise appearance early. Um, so I'm, I'm kind of building in that buffer time, so I'm really trying to be fully done all of my work things, um, by the end of March.

[00:13:57] DANIELLE: So I have the entire month of April to kind of [00:14:00] prepare. Babies do April 30th. So, uh, within the business, first of all, the podcast is not going anywhere. I have big plans for the podcast, not only for these solo episodes, but also bringing on some incredible inspiring guests. I know you guys have been loving the guests that we've had recently, and I've just.

[00:14:23] DANIELLE: Such, such great feedback from all of the amazing guests we've brought on, and I am just so grateful to be connected with some of these women. They are so inspiring and it's just been great to be able to bring them on, ask them specific questions. And so if you have any feedback for us as well, like people that you would wanna see on the podcast or topics that you would want me to cover on the podcast, I would love to hear from you.

[00:14:51] DANIELLE: Always feel free to reach out. I love connecting with you. I love chatting with you. and I'm so grateful for you guys. [00:15:00] So that's what, the podcast is not going anywhere and I'm planning to pre-record episodes so that when I am, you know, quote unquote casually off for six weeks, I will still have pre-recorded episodes.

[00:15:12] DANIELLE: So you'll still have content. While I'm gone. So next, I'm excited to share and announce that we are gonna be hosting a virtual conference at the end of January. So this is gonna be so amazing and. So much fun. We're gonna be announcing more details very, very soon, but in the meantime, we are going to, um, let you get on our email list and we're gonna be sharing some details of that over the next few weeks and obviously leading up to the event as well.

[00:15:49] DANIELLE: But we have some amazing, amazing. People on board, we're so excited, and it's just gonna be an incredible virtual way for [00:16:00] you guys to really dive deep into how to grow and skill your businesses. And you're gonna hear from lots of different experts on that as well. So I'm gonna be bringing in. Some really cool experts.

[00:16:11] DANIELLE: Now, the cool thing about doing, hosting this virtual conference, because obviously, you know, you listen to this podcast and, um, I get to share and I get to bring on guests and everything like that, but it's not a back and forth conversation. So what I'm really excited about is that bringing this conference, bringing this virtual conference to you guys, you guys are going to actually be able to be there live.

[00:16:35] DANIELLE: You'll be able to be in the chat. Um, be there asking questions and interacting and networking and all of that. And so stay tuned for more information about that. . And then we're also going to be hosting an in-person conference, full day conference, either at the end of February or beginning of March. Uh, we're just trying to [00:17:00] secure things with a venue right now, but if you wanna get on the wait list for either of those things, either the virtual conference or the in-person conference.

[00:17:09] DANIELLE: Then definitely go to our website. You can either check out the show notes and we'll have links to both of those things for the wait list, or you can go to our website@businessbabescollective.com and you can join our email list and all the details are gonna be sent through our email list. So, , that's that update.

[00:17:27] DANIELLE: And then lastly, I am so excited about this, so I have decided to open up just a few spots. So five spots for v i P days. With me between now and March, so a V I P day. If you don't know what that is, it's basically where we spend an entire day together and we go ahead and map out a strategy for your business, and we also map out your monetization plan.

[00:17:59] DANIELLE: [00:18:00] Over the next 90 days. So how are you going to focus on revenue generating activities? How are you going to create strategic collaborations and partnerships? What is that gonna look like over the next 90 days? And how are you gonna make the next 90 days explosive within your business and set yourself up for an incredible year in 2023?

[00:18:22] DANIELLE: So, I absolutely love doing these v i P days with clients. It is so much fun. First of all, it's. Such an amazing way to work together and we get so much done in one day. So you are going to leave this v i p day feeling so much clarity on what your next steps are for your business. We can work through everything that you are working on.

[00:18:50] DANIELLE: I can give you direct feedback on what you're doing, and it's really gonna help you to feel prepared and feel excited about reaching your goals that you're [00:19:00] gonna set yourself. . So I also, the other thing that I love about this is that I get to spoil you. So I get to provide breakfast and coffee throughout the day, as well as treat you to a lunch.

[00:19:14] DANIELLE: So we actually go out for a lunch, and we walk to a restaurant and go out for lunch, and it's just, So fun. So if you're interested, if you wanna learn more about what this v i p day looks like, um, I have also decided that I was actually going to raise the price of the v i p day. Originally, I was going to raise the price in January, but I've decided to keep the price where it's at and wait until after baby is born so that we can have a few more v i p days at this original price.

[00:19:46] DANIELLE: So if you're on the fence and you're thinking about. , now is the time. Let's do this. Let's do this together, and if you want to book in and find out more information about what that looks like, what a V I P [00:20:00] day is, then you can either DM me on Instagram with v i p day. Or you can go to business babes collective.com/coaching and you can apply there.

[00:20:11] DANIELLE: So I'm super excited to work with five of you between now and March, and really dive deep into what your goals are for this year and help you actually map them out so you can actually achieve them. That is all, that is all my updates for personal updates and business updates and exciting things. So looking forward to for this next year, and I hope that you are looking forward to 2023 just as much as I am.

[00:20:40] DANIELLE: We are going to do a reflection and goal setting episode before the new year, so get excited for that. And I hope you have an amazing rest of your week. I hope you are winding down your work for the week and you are getting excited about the holidays and Christmas and maybe you're watching some holiday [00:21:00] movies and things like.

[00:21:01] DANIELLE: So I hope you have a great week, and I will talk to you on Thursday for our next episode.
