[00:00:00] Danielle: Welcome to another episode of the business babes collective podcast. Today is going to be a short and sweet episode. We're talking all about collaborations today, and I'm so excited for those of you who know me, I am obsessed with all things collaborations. And I talk about it constantly in my community because I truly believe it's the number one.
[00:00:21] Danielle: business strategy that you should be focusing on right now. We're going to be talking about some examples of how you can collaborate with other businesses to grow your community, to grow your exposure and your cashflow. I wanted to share a little bit about our story as well so that you can kind of get some perspective on why I love talking about this and why I'm so passionate about it.
[00:00:44] Danielle: So a few years ago, our business faced a very pivotal moment because As many of you know, we were not able to host in person events anymore. So COVID. And so we had to find [00:01:00] other ways, alternative ways to add value to our community, to grow our business and ensure that we were bringing value to our ideal clients and customers.
[00:01:10] Danielle: But also that we could survive as a company. And so it became very clear that we needed a new strategy and a fresh approach in order to really survive. And so since 2020, we have been creating unique experiences, fostering strategic collaborations, and hosting virtual events, and so. The results have been really, really incredible by doing this.
[00:01:40] Danielle: Not only is our community thriving and our business is actually more profitable than it ever was before, because now we have this whole online side of our business, which we didn't have previously, not just that, but there's been so many other incredible opportunities and doors that have been opened through these collaborations, [00:02:00] things like speaking engagements.
[00:02:02] Danielle: Guest appearances on popular podcasts, invitations to be guest speaker in other people's masterminds or be a part of people's masterminds, invitations to exclusive events, and the list goes on. So I decided that I wanted to support you and be able to teach you how you can do the same thing. I want you to experience the thrill of watching your community grow and have opportunities to collaborate with other businesses and brands that align with your vision while ultimately increasing your revenue and cashflow in your business.
[00:02:37] Danielle: So that's why I am inviting you to a free workshop happening this Thursday at 4 p. m. PST. And we're going to talk, be talking all about this. I'm going to be breaking down how we did this, how we were able to create this momentum, add a large group of people to our email list, to our community, [00:03:00] and ultimately grow our revenue as well.
[00:03:02] Danielle: So if you want to reserve your spot for this workshop, go to business babes collective dot com slash. Breakthrough. I'm so excited to see you there. It's going to be live. You can ask your questions and basically copy our strategy and implement it into your own business. So go ahead and register again.
[00:03:21] Danielle: That's business babes, collective. com slash breakthrough. So now that you're registered. Grab a cup of iced coffee and let's get started. Welcome to the Business Faves Collective podcast. I'm your host, Danielle Wie. In this podcast, you'll learn tangible business tips and strategies on how to grow successfully and sustainably.
[00:03:42] Danielle: We'll also interview Seasoned entrepreneurs so you can listen in on their stories and see behind the scenes of what it took to grow and scale their businesses. Let's dive in as we discuss the wild, exciting, crazy challenging, rollercoaster ride of entrepreneurship. Many entrepreneurs that I [00:04:00] talk to ask where they should start when it comes to.
[00:04:04] Danielle: Finding their ideal customers and clients, should they launch a website or start their social media accounts or attend events and start networking or get business cards printed. So there's so many different things that you can do as a business owner to get yourself all set up. And although all those things are really great and helpful to get yourself out there.
[00:04:28] Danielle: If I were to start completely over from scratch, I would double down on growing a community and I would specifically focus on growing my email list and I would do that through strategic collaborations with aligned businesses. So instead of just focusing on building relationships with our ideal clients directly.
[00:04:49] Danielle: which is important. If you are going to do market research to really understand what they want and what they need. However, after we've done this and after we really know what our ideal client [00:05:00] wants and what they need, then we are able to actually grow a lot faster than just connecting one on one with our ideal clients by collaborating with other business or.
[00:05:10] Danielle: Owners and brands that have aligned businesses. So think about business owners that have aligned industries or have complimentary products and services. When it comes to a business collaboration, if you're like, I don't even know what a collaboration is or where to even get started. Collaboration is a mutually beneficial partnership where you co create something together, or you cross promote.
[00:05:35] Danielle: for one another for collaborations to be successful, especially in the business world, both parties need to win in this scenario. So it has to be a win win for both people. So some tangible examples of business collaborations in case you still can't think of how you would potentially implement this into your own business.
[00:05:54] Danielle: And I've shared about these strategies in some past episodes, if you want to go listen to those. But they are worth [00:06:00] repeating. So there are email list swaps, social media collaborations. So maybe doing a real or a collaborative post or a live video together, guesting on someone else's platforms. That could be a blog post, a podcast, a YouTube, Instagram.
[00:06:15] Danielle: There's also affiliate marketing where you can promote someone else's product or service for a commission, or they can promote yours. There's also co branding. An example could be. creating a limited time exclusive product together or combining services or creating a bundle together where you have multiple courses or multiple services in one bundle and then you cross promote that.
[00:06:45] Danielle: There are honestly endless opportunities to collaborate. I could go on forever, but my two favorite things to talk about are in person and virtual events. So I'm actually going to be doing a deep dive into these [00:07:00] topics during Thursday's free workshop that I'm hosting. I'm going to be sharing with you the exact strategy that we use to add over 4, 000 new potential clients to our email list in this year alone.
[00:07:14] Danielle: Um, and unlike other approaches where it requires you to invest heavily in advertising to grow your email list and community, and there's nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with running ads or investing in advertising, but sometimes it can be really scary to throw money at something when we're not even sure or we don't even have a solid strategy in place yet.
[00:07:38] Danielle: So our approach is actually something that allows you to generate revenue. While you are growing your email list and while you're cultivating your community. So imagine making 10, 000 in revenue, an extra 10, 000 this year, instead of spending 10, 000 this year on ads, all while attracting your potential [00:08:00] clients to your list.
[00:08:00] Danielle: So that's what we've been able to do in just this year alone since January. And it's only halfway through the year, so I'm excited to reveal all the details with you. This strategy that we implement during our workshop. So if you want to join us, we are going to be going live at 4 p. m. PST this Thursday and today together again, we're going to be diving deep into this strategy of creating virtual events, using collaborations to grow and scale your business.
[00:08:32] Danielle: And to create more cashflow would love to see you there. And no matter what your business is, I always get asked, Hey, if I'm a product based business, does that mean that I can't use this strategy? Absolutely not. You can totally use this strategy. In fact, I think there's really incredible ways that you can use this to grow your business.
[00:08:51] Danielle: And there's lots of collaboration potential, especially with products. If you're a service based business, you can absolutely use this. And if you're an online business, [00:09:00] then this is. definitely something that you want to implement because it is a really easy way to scale your online business. So I am so excited to share with you our strategy, bring all your questions because it's going to be live.
[00:09:15] Danielle: I'm going to be doing a Q and a at the end. So I can't wait to connect with you. If you want to join us, click the link in our show notes. or go to business babes collective. com slash breakthrough. I hope you learned a lot in today's episode. I hope it opened your mind to some collaborative opportunities and ideas in order to get in front of your ideal client, because If you are just trying to reach those people just on your own through social media or through other things, it's going to be a slower growth, but think of it this way.
[00:09:48] Danielle: If you can collaborate with someone who already has built that network and who has already built that audience of people who are your ideal clients, you can reach them so much easier. [00:10:00] Another pro tip before we end off this episode is that you can actually use. The collaborations that you've done in the past as leverage for new collaborations.
[00:10:11] Danielle: So landing your first big collaboration is usually the most challenging and it takes the most work. But once you have that under your belt, you can use it and you can showcase that in order to gain new collaborations as well. So we're going to talk all about that on Thursday. I can't wait to dive deeper into it.
[00:10:30] Danielle: So until Thursday, my homework for you is to. Get out a spreadsheet or a piece of paper if you'd rather do pen and paper, but put down some of your ideal collaborative partners, people that you would love to work with brands that you have admired and would love to collaborate with one day, even if you don't know.
[00:10:53] Danielle: How that would work or how you would collaborate or what you would pitch them, even if you have no idea what that looks like [00:11:00] yet, put those names or those businesses down onto paper or in the spreadsheet and make a dream list of collaborators. And we're going to dive into how are you actually going to pitch those people?
[00:11:14] Danielle: How are you going to create that win win scenario like we talked about earlier in that. that episode. So we're going to go into all of that on Thursday. Come join us. And until then, I hope you have an amazing rest of your day and we'll talk to you soon.
