We’re so excited for you all to hear Danielle’s conversation with Arielle Estoria!

Arielle ​Estoria is a Spoken Word Poet, gifted Writer and Author, captivating and authentic Emcee and Speaker. Through various aspects of storytelling, Arielle creates environments and spaces where audiences have the permission to be vulnerable and seen. Her motto, "Words not for the ears but for the soul" stems from her dedication to remind anyone who encounters her and her work that words are meant to be felt and experienced not just heard. 

In this episode, Danielle & Arielle discuss her journey of how she (Arielle) got to where she is today, taking risks and not letting fear hold you back, how to stay creative while being focused and the importance of rest and self-care!

    • The things that is going to propel you is what you already have

    • Always have representation, always have people look over your contracts, always have people on your side, always be okay with asking for help

    • Hired some interns to help her out and now she has a virtual assistant

    • Every step has shaped her into who she is and what she does

  • Burnout

    • Be gentle with yourself, we’re still in a pandemic

    • We are not meant to operate in a way where work kills us

    • Sundays are reserved for rest not weekly prep

    • Try not to schedule a lot of things on Mondays as it is a day to set up the rest of the week

    • Our generation is creating a new place at the table that is not this corporate job expectation, but it creates a huge need to prove ourselves

    • We are now in the wave of passionate work, resting, and going back rested

    • Hustle culture didn’t work and created a burned out work culture

    • Protect her “personhood days” outside of virtual engagement

    • Pace is intentional - “Rome wasn’t built in a day”

    • Time is a good thing and necessary - meditate on what you’re doing

    • Be gentle on yourself and your fears

    • If it’s not fun, then why are we doing it? If it doesn’t delight us in some capacity, then why are we doing it?

    • Life is too short not to do the things that light us up
