[00:00:00] Danielle: Welcome back to the business babes collective podcast. Thank you so much for being here. Today, we have a follow up question from our series that we did last week on turning your passions into a profitable business. So the question that we are answering today is What if I have multiple passions in different industries, how do I create a profitable business that includes all of the things that I love?
[00:00:25] So I'm excited to dive into this question. It is such a great question, and I can't wait to talk about it, but before we dive in, I have some very, very, very exciting news. So we are very close to hitting 15,000 downloads on the podcast, which is so fun. And honestly, I'm just truly so grateful for all of you who are listening to the podcast.
[00:00:51] You've subscribed, you're supporting this show, you're sharing it with your friends. Honestly just means the world to me. And it's just, I [00:01:00] just love creating these episodes for you. And I'm just so excited just, um, to continue this relationship with you and continue to evolve this podcast into something that is so incredibly valuable for your everyday life that you can implement into your business, tactical and tangible tips and strategies, but also that inspiration and that connection that we get through our guests that we have on the podcast too. So I hope you love this podcast as much as I love creating these episodes for you.
[00:01:31] So now it's my time to give back to you. So we are gonna be doing a giveaway and there's actually gonna be three different prizes for this giveaway and trust me, it is so, so simple to enter. It's gonna take you like two minutes. So listen up. So we have three different prizes.
[00:01:48] One is a power strategy session with me, which is one on one, and also the option to potentially get it featured on the podcast, which is so [00:02:00] exciting. Number two is free access to our action takers club program, plus the bonuses, which includes the profitable workflow system and automation toolkit. So if you've been thinking about it and you've been wanting to jump in, but maybe finances are, you know, holding you back in the way, this is a great time to enter, to potentially win free access.
[00:02:23] And then number three is that we are gonna choose one of you to get featured. So your business is going to be featured on the podcast and on our business babes co Instagram. So you're gonna get to share a little bit more about your business and everything on one of our podcast episodes. So I'm so excited to be doing this giveaway.
[00:02:45] This is a value of over a thousand dollars and all you have to do is take two minutes to enter. So listen up, you're going to subscribe to the podcast. If you're not already, you just hit that follow button and then you're going to leave us a review [00:03:00] on apple. So when you have the podcast app on apple, you're gonna scroll to the very bottom and you're gonna see a place where you can actually leave a rating and a review.
[00:03:11] I would love it if you would leave us a five star review and then just share a little bit about how this podcast has impacted you, maybe what your favorite episode has been, and maybe what you wanna hear more of as well. If this podcast has impacted you in any way, or if you've had any tangible takeaways from any of the episodes that we've shared already. Would love to hear about that in the review.
[00:03:37] And then what you do is just so that I can keep track, make sure you put your name at the bottom and then send a screenshot of that before you send it through. Because once you send it through, it actually takes a few minutes to pop up an apple. So take a screenshot and then send it to me at Danilivinglife on Instagram. And if you don't have Instagram, that's totally fine. You can also email it to me at Danielle [00:04:00] business babes collective.com.
[00:04:01] So again, that's, we're subscribing to the podcast, leaving a review and a rating on apple, screenshotting it, and then sending it to me on Instagram at @Danilivinglife, that's D a N I l I V I N G and then life and you can send it on over to me so that I can keep track and we are going to announce the winners on June 15th. [00:04:37] Also, if you have already rated and reviewed the show, first of all, thank you so much, that means so much to me. And I'm so grateful. So all you have to do then, it's very easy, you just screenshot your review and then send it on over to me on Instagram or again, if you're not on Instagram, you can email it to me. So thank you so much. I am so excited to hear [00:05:00] about how this podcast is impacting you and I can't wait to see who wins. All right, let's go ahead and dive into today's episode.
[00:05:10] Welcome to the business babes collective podcast. I'm your host, Danielle Wiebe. In this podcast, you'll learn tangible business tips and strategies on how to grow successfully and sustainably. We'll also interview seasoned entrepreneurs, so you can listen in on their stories and see behind the scenes of what it took to grow and scale their businesses. Let's dive in as we discuss the wild, exciting, crazy, challenging, rollercoaster ride of entrepreneurship.
[00:05:41] Today's episode is going to be short and sweet. So after my two part series on the podcast of how to turn your passions into a profitable business, which I'm so excited by the way that so many of you have been loving these episodes. And if you haven't listened to these episodes [00:06:00] yet, then I suggest you go back and listen to those episodes first, before listening to this. Because this might not really make much sense unless you've listened to those two episodes first.
[00:06:10] But I had some follow up questions from that episode. One in particular, in particular that I wanted to go through because I thought, you know what? This is probably a question that many people are wondering. And so I wanted to dive in and answer the question for you.
[00:06:26] So I had a listener of the podcast message me on Instagram with this question. And so I thought it was a perfect follow-up for anyone else. And so I'll keep this person anonymous, but basically what she said was that she made a list of her passions, but where she felt stuck is that her passions are all in different industries, different industries and different kind of parts of her life.
[00:06:51] So she wasn't really sure kind of where to go with that and what to focus on. So the example that she she gave was that she was passionate about supporting [00:07:00] entrepreneurs, coaching, event planning, ministry, and travel, as well as health and wellness. So what I told her, which I wanna share with all of you as well, is that when you make your list of passions, you really wanna brain dump all of the things that you're passionate about, all of the things that bring you joy, that light you up that get you excited. And you also wanna list some things that you are naturally gifted in.
[00:07:28] And so I really want you to, you know, take the time. So carve out that time, it could take you, you know, half an hour. Maybe it's gonna take you an hour. You know, wake up early one morning and do this, or, uh, buy yourself coffee at a coffee shop and bring a blank notebook and just brain dump all of these things that you're passionate about. And then the reason why the second, you know, step, which you'll hear in that episode is to write down then the hundred ways that you can [00:08:00] actually monetize those passions.
[00:08:02] The reason why I want you to write down a hundred is because you are gonna come up with some really creative, fun ideas. So if I just got you to, you know, come up with, let's say 10 ideas or 20 ideas, or even, you know, 50 ideas, which, you know, if you can't get to that hundred that's okay. But, if you can like, just let your brain think of creative ideas and some of them might be really silly ideas and you you'd think like, oh, I would never actually pursue that, but I want you to actually write it down because what will happen is you'll get your brain out of that kind of box that sometimes we put ourselves in where we say to ourselves like, oh, I can't do that cuz that's too crazy or that's too extreme or, you know, I don't know if I could ever achieve that, whatever that might look like.
[00:08:52] So we hold ourselves back and we don't actually, um, let ourselves think of those things. So that's why I want you to write out a list of a hundred. [00:09:00] So once you have that list, then you're gonna be categorizing it, right? So you're gonna pick your top ideas that you actually might wanna run with. And then once you have those ideas, you wanna choose one that's actually going to allow a lot of your other passions to be a part of what you do as well. So, or it could be actually giving you the type of lifestyle where you can pursue some of those other passions just for fun, right?
[00:09:30] So the example in this case for this woman who reached out to me and asked these questions, she may choose to become a virtual assistant, right? So she's gonna become a virtual assistant. This could actually lead her into business coaching, supporting entrepreneurs, which then could lead into event planning and maybe even travel.
[00:09:51] And then, the business that she has, could give her the lifestyle and the type of flexibility that could give her the ability [00:10:00] to actually pursue the other things that she's passionate about. So ministry, health, and wellness, all of those other things that she put down on her list as her passions, she can actually still pursue those things because her business is giving her the lifestyle to be able to do those other things.
[00:10:17] Does that make sense? So if you find that you have passions in multiple different industries that are very different from one another, that is totally okay. As long as the idea that you have, that you are going to move forward with is a business that's going to allow you and give you the ability to pursue some of those other things that are really important to you, that you do really highly value, or you do want to have a part of your life.
[00:10:47] So a lot of times, what ends up happening, is that people choose things that they're going to pursue for their career or their business that they feel like is reasonable, [00:11:00] right? Or they feel like, oh, this is gonna make me the most amount of money. Um, so let's just give an example that honestly has nothing to do with business, but let's just do it just for fun.
[00:11:09] So let's say someone goes to school for medicine because they did really well in biology and they really loved it in high school. Right. So they're like, okay, I wanna become a doctor, but one of their top values is flexibility, freedom, travel, being able, maybe they wanna be able to work like 10 hours a week so that they can pursue all these other things that they wanna do.
[00:11:30] And what they end up often realizing is that the lifestyle of potentially becoming a doctor, doesn't allow them to pursue any of the other, their other passions. Again, this is not to say that that is actually the case. Just so we're aware here, this is literally just a hypothetical scenario. Um, but I wanted to give something that was kind of tangible.
[00:11:51] And what I wanna emphasize is that when we're choosing what opportunities to pursue as a business, we wanna make sure that this fits within our [00:12:00] values and also allows us to have the lifestyle that we want, right? So that's why it's so, important to get super, super clear on what your vision is, what your mission is and what direction you wanna go in.
[00:12:13] Because just because something, you know, you see someone else doing X, Y, Z doesn't mean that you should do that as well. You know, you really have to figure out what is something that is in line with your passions, with your skillset. And, you know, you were uniquely created, you were uniquely made to do specific things and to be successful in certain areas.
[00:12:38] And so just copying what someone else is doing, isn't going to give you the type of success that you think. So I just wanted to share that. And hopefully you're encouraged by that. I hope this episode was helpful for you. Again, this is just a short and sweet episode as a follow up question to our two part series that was last week.
[00:12:57] So again, if you haven't listened to that, make [00:13:00] sure you listen to that, episode. And honestly, you guys like this is why we dive into some of these topics really, really in depth inside of our action takers club because we want you to get so clear on your mission and your vision for your brand, so that you're not just building something just for the sake of building or scaling, just for the sake of scaling.
[00:13:21] We want you to be passionate about it. We want you to be excited by it, and we want you to have that long term mission and vision that you are working towards, but then also have those practical steps of, okay, now that I have this mission and vision, what do I actually have to do today? What do I have to do right now to bring in profits into my business?
[00:13:41] And so we, we touch on both aspects of that inside of action takers clubs. So if you want to learn more, um, some of you I know have already watched our free masterclass, if you haven't yet, and you haven't gotten access to it, go to business babes, collective.com/masterclass, [00:14:00] sign up for the class. It's absolutely free.
[00:14:03] You'll learn so much just in that free class alone. And you'll also get an opportunity to learn more about the framework that we use inside of action takers club and the support that we share to our students and to our community. So, um, regardless though, if you ever end up joining us inside of action takers club, I want you to know that this community is here for you. This podcast is specifically to help you.
